The staff was very friendly and helpful, which is always nice to encounter. However, there was musty smell throughout the whole property, and especially in the room which was on the sunken first level. The were stains throughout the bathroom and the room felt humid and moist no matter how we adjusted the controls. We were relieved when it was time to check out.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and the entrance was also kept well. For the price, I thought it was overall very good. The outside of the hotel needed a lot of work. Weeds, dead grass and overgrown grass with weeds, and also the pavement was broken up here and there.

Kind of weird corner of Des Moines, but the hotel was good, basic, and clean. Older motel, but in generally good condition. Good Mexican restaurant next door.

Room was clean and tidy. Only complaint is the heater didn’t work so it was a bit chilly but I don’t mind chilly. Pool was nice, no pool towels however. Breakfast was small and very simple. Staff was nice, check in and out was hassle free. Great location! I would stay again

I loved the feel of the bed. I was exhausted when I arrived, I just wanted to sleep. The bed was soft and cozy. I curled up and went right to sleep. I slept so well. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and quiet. I’d prefer all soap to be in the pump type style instead of in bars. I enjoyed that there is a delicious Mexican Restaurant next door. The parking is close to the rooms. It’s very convenient for loading and unloading the car. The pool looked nice. There were people using it when I checked it out. My time went by quickly so I didn’t get to use it.

Room was clean. Nice safe location The front desk person was friendly. Great budget hotel if you’re going to a concert at the Val air ballroom it’s walking distance. across the street You have gas station and a couple fast food options,. This will be my regular hotel for when I go see concerts at Val Air ballroom or stay on that part of town.

Great location as I was able to walk to food, convenient store and concert venue. The room was basic and the window was ground level, and opened! Only met one employee who was friendly and a bit slow due to his age, but overall I had no issues.

The breakfast menu? A joke. Toast and sausage. Albeit it was warm... but few options... A joke and I wasn't laughing. Room was nice. Comfy but in slight disrepair. Staff really was the exception to this. They were friendly happy and helpful.
