"Very quiet and I loved the black out curtains. My only issue was the parking lot was being resurfaced for the first few nights and it made parking difficult."

"My room had a very strong odor, similar to a pet cage. The desk clerk said he couldn't move us, because the hotel was fully booked. That was true. He said it was the air conditioning system creating the smell. If that was the case, the room should never have been rented. Luckily, I did not spend a lot of time in the room. But it was hard to come back to the room at the end of the day, open the door, and then try to ignore the smell. Luckily, I only had to spend two nights there. I've stayed at Fairfield in the past, and never experienced anything like this."

"We used the outdoor pool and it was still cold out. The pool was great. We were able to swim into the indoor side to warm up. The staff was all really helpful and friendly. The room was very nice, clean and the beds were very comfortable. We were there Mother’s Day weekend. The street was very busy the night we stayed and we didn’t hear anything. I will definitely stay there next time I’m in KC."

"I booked a one-night getaway for my wife and I, and this hotel was perfect for us. Its location on the Plaza was the main draw. I also liked the fact that it was only a 15 minute walk to the nearest streetcar stop. The staff was extremely courteous!"

"We had a lovely two night stay. The room was clean, comfy and well appointed. If we had ANY thing to comment on, it would be there was not a non slip surface on the tub. Twenty years ago that wouldn't even have been mentioned but we are in our 70's and now it was noticed. Otherwise, great place, lovely staff, super convenient location."
