Gorgeous views, on the beach, huge deck! - The Boat House

The Boat House is a completely remodeled (2022) 4/2 beach house right on the beach. The views are gorgeous and you can walk right down your back stairs out to the waves. The house enjoys vaulted ceilings, abundant natural light, vibrant beach decor, and comfortable furnishings throughout! The dining room has a walkout slider giving you a direct view of the Gulf of Mexico. The house has new flooring and countertops, and cabinets, so you can count on being happy and able to relax on a wonderful beach vacation!

As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!

Please note the following:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is pet-friendly, dogs only, 2-dog maximum limit. $100 pet fee per dog applies.
10. Cargo lifts are not available to guests and can not be used. They are not permitted by Home Owner Insurance Policies.

It was wonderful to be right on the water! The kids could run down to the sand anytime they wanted and it made for a memorable trip. Easy walk to the public beach too. Views of the water from almost every room, and the property manager was super quick with maintenance needs.

The pictures on the website are deceiving from what the house really looks like. The sewer piping was broken under the house before we got there. It stayed broke till Thursday. The sewer was backed up and we had to park on the street. We should have been given another house to stay in till this one was fixed. The dishes were dirty. The propane bottle was empty. We got a new one that Wednesday. Outside lights and under the house didn’t work. I believe we should get some type of refund whether iota our deposit or a reduced price on another house when we come back in the future.

Very nice area

We love dauphin island. We had a pretty good stay overall. There were quite a few appliances that didn’t work or were broken but I notified the owner at the end of our stay and they said they’ll send someone out to fix/replace each thing. All communication was quick and respectful. We enjoyed our stay.

Easy access to the beach!

Beautifully decorated house. View of the Gulf is partially obstructed by the house in front. Sound views on the front. Expansive deck all the way around the house. Beach access right down the deck stairs. West End Public Beach is also a short walk away.

Excellent place to stay, enjoyed!!

Well we all felt so great staying at this place, felt home, being so close to sea shore is the key and close to the edge of the Iceland was great experience. House was clean, communication was great, internet was little slow for laptop which turned out to be good coz we thought we can work but I took off due to that reason and I did enjoyed the stay.

Great Vacation

The house was perfect for our family of 9. Plenty of space for the grandkids to play. The beach was right out the back door! We called needing gas for the grill and someone was there within a few hours to replace the tank. Wonderful service by the host. They contacted us several times throughout our stay to see if we needed anything. We will definitely be back.

Loved our stay right on the beach, listening to the waves day and night! Beautiful breezes, beautiful sunset! The house is lovely and fully appointed. Everything needed for a lovely vacation already in the home. There were a few areas were upkeep was needed, but I’m certain the owner will address those in short order

Great week!

Overall the house was very comfortable. Right on the beach with beautiful views of both sunrise and sunset. Within walking distance to the west end beach. Only negative was some of the mattresses need to be changed the back bedroom downstairs has a pretty significant dip in the middle. Overall we had an amazing week!

This was our 3rd stay at Dauphin Island and chose to try the far west end of the island. This unit met our needs as far as size and pet friendly. It is definitely in need of TLC. While I realize that 90% of the homes on this part of the island are rentals and maximizing income is important, so is a place that does not have sections of the interior walls coming apart. Lots of mold and rust which is not uncommon of coastal living but water/condensation dripping off the vents onto you was a little much. The kitchen was a little under stocked for eating in. We cook when we come here and have learned to bring the things we absolutely need, knives/pans, etc. We also bring our own grill as the ones at beach side properties are always rusty and or not functional at all, as was the case here. WiFi was solid and no issues streaming stuff at night. Biggest disappointment was the location or more importantly the house that is situated right between this unit and the beach. You have little to no beach view unless looking off to the ends of the deck. The unit behind them has light that is kept on all night. You could land a plane off the light coming from it. Big detractor in the evening while trying to enjoy the night sky. Also, the seawall around that house makes for very loud waves. We like the waves but at night is was very hard to sleep due to the amplified sound from the waves on the sea wall. All in all, this unit is serviceable. It is need of a little TLC and a good cleaning.

The beach house had amazing views from deck and the house was so light. Everything was so clean and had all the amenities as home. We loved having the beach at our back door! Our stay was amazing!!

Beautiful location!!! Great views!! Didn’t even need to leave porch!!! Needs some porch furniture!! Not the cleanest!! Mattresses not comfortable!!! But overall 4.5 stars!! Would book again!!!!

Great family vacation house
