We used the pool this time and it’s nice- deeper than we’d thought. The unit has many things needed to prep meals and is comfortable place to hang out. Our family of 5 had so much space to relax and enjoy the beautiful gulf view from the entire wall of windows! The updated remodel makes it look amazing - especially as the outside makes you question how nice the place actually is. The pool was heated and warm and the short 3 minute walk around the building to the beach led to a great beach. The home was well furnished with 3 laundry pods and dishwasher pods, soaps and shampoo/conditioner. We are typically a 1 and done for our beach stays as we like to see new places each summer, but if we ever make it back to Dauphin, Island we would FOR SURE rent again. The Island itself is not a tourist trap, which we LOVE! No busy beaches, quiet walks on the sand or along the nice bike path. Not many restaurants to choose from, but you MUST try the bakery - it was amazing!! We enjoyed 2 days trips from this awesome location. One to Louisiana for a swamp boat tour and another we took the Mobile Bay Ferry to a public beach in Florida!
