Top Dashtakar Hotel Reviews

Bee Planet Guest House

Bee Planet Guest House

10/10 Excellent
"The property is pretty modern for the area. The hotel is relatively small, owned by a super kind famliy- they're very sweet and generous. The room is well equipped and clean, basic toiletries and towels are provided, and there's an AC, tv, mini fridge, and kettle. It also has a small balconey overlooking the garden. There are beehives and an api house. The place also has a gift shop where the family sells homemade stuff which include honey wine, soaps, candles, perfumes, and creams. The location is just a few minutes away from the Symphony of the Stones, and on the way to Geghard. Overall I strongly recommend staying there if you're looking for a peaceful and homely place."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Dashtakar?
The best area to stay in Dashtakar is in the immediate vicinity of the Dashtakar Church and its surrounding village.

This area is the heart of Dashtakar, offering a true sense of local life. The village is small and easily navigated on foot, with the 11th-century Dashtakar Church being the main landmark. You'll find a few local guesthouses and family-run accommodations here, providing a more personal and authentic experience than larger hotels might.

Couples looking for a quiet retreat will find this area particularly appealing. It's an ideal spot for relaxing, enjoying the rural setting, and exploring the historic church at a leisurely pace. The pace of life is slow, making it superb for unwinding.

For those interested in exploring the Ararat region, staying near the village centre provides a convenient base.

The best time to visit Dashtakar is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months. These periods offer pleasant weather conditions, making it ideal for exploring the region.

Spring in Dashtakar brings mild temperatures, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C. The landscape is lush and green, with wildflowers blooming across the Ararat plain, providing excellent photo opportunities. This season is particularly good for those interested in outdoor activities like hiking or visiting local vineyards without the intense summer heat.

Autumn also provides comfortable temperatures, usually between 10°C and 20°C, and the vineyards are often in full harvest, creating a lively option. The changing colours of the foliage add to the scenic beauty.
