"The property description and photos couldn't have prepared us for the 'awesomeness' that is Emma's Driftwood. The accommodations (Ranch House), the amenities, the service, and the setting... oh, the majesty of the setting, all combined for a new level of... WOW! While our intention was to explore more of the surrounding area, there was little to entice us back through the gates once the cupboards were stocked. We found ourselves completely decompressed with books, binoculars and birding apps...

The sun was shining, the birds were calling, & I was filled with peace & the expectation of another relaxing day. Relaxation is the key word here! I went on a few excellent walks & runs, read, watched a movie, cooked...just what I was looking for. Bonuses were the fire pit & the supplies to make s'mores, stars, the treats that...

Communication with our host was smooth, the house itself was incredibly clean and well laid out, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you’d ever need for cooking. Not to mention, it is an absolutely gorgeous location. Great for families. Our kids loved it. We hope to go back!"

"We had a weekend party that used Emma's Hatcher House -- maybe 50 yards from Dogtrot -- as the main venue but had 3 couples sleep in Dogtrot Cottage. Very comfortable, clean and well-appointed accommodations with a layout that allowed for any desired combination of mingling or privacy. A bit further from the marsh than Hatcher so the views aren't as immediate but still very close to all the amenities (marsh, docks, pool, game pavilion) available at Emma's."

"Really enjoyed sitting out on the screened in porch in the morning! The nature sounds and view were awesome. Wasn't sure what to expect in the kitchen, since there were no pictures, but it was very well stocked. Had a small issue with the thermostat, but luckily was able to get that taken care of pretty quickly."
