Our family stayed 3 nights here. It was in walking distance of everything - the main square, churches and numerous restaurants. Our tour for Machu Picchu left at 4am, and they were so kind and had a bagged breakfast waiting for us since we were going to miss breakfast. And the staff was wonderful - they even came to our room to assist in updating the tv so it would be in English for us. Would highly recommend this hotel. Wonderful staff.

the property seems to have history, but apparently, the beds and pillows also have history. and travelers need a good rest in a good soft and comfortable bed to recover energy and continue with our adventure in Cusco. we had to abandon the property already paid in full to find another place that provides us with that comfort mainly in the rest—completely disgusted with this place. I requested that they at least give me other softer pillows, but the receptionist said they did not have others and were all like that. My children did not want to return to spend one more night precisely because of that problem. They should modernize their beds and pillows, it is the only thing that is asked of them.

Excellent service! Small hotel with comfortable room. Was able to arrange 5 people in a room, with five single beds! Rooms were nicely decorated, beds were comfortable, room was nice and warm. Staff was friendly, professional and responsive. Free breakfast every morning, fresh fruit juice, coffee, fresh bread, cheese, ham,fresh scrambled eggs and fresh fruit. On days we had early tours they packed a bagged lunch for us which was great!! The one downside, The towels were not the greatest ( a little rough)so if you really care for that then bring your own. Overall excellent hotel. Hotel very well maintained and clean.

The staff were excellent, helpful and efficient with our check-in. The Hotel is very close to good restaurants and the Famous Plaza De Armas, Cusco Cathedral, Natural History Museum. The Rooms are clean and basic and the attached bathroom is small. The showers do not run out of hot water at night which is great! The Hotel provides complimentary hot water and tea near the reception and there are desktop computers for emails and web browsing. Its great value for money taking into account the location and price.

Great location. Family friendly. Warm welcoming staff. Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights total. It is conveniently located in the city center. We used it as our home base while we took day trips from Cusco. Antonella was amazingly helpful at assisting us plan and organize our stay. She booked excellent tour guides for our day trips. She even coordinated our trip to Machu Picchu - setting up the guide, train tickets, etc... We HIGHLY recommend staying at this family operated hotel. Antonella and the entire staff are fabulous!

Good location, tiny bathroom.
The location is excellent. The bathroom is too small. If you are bigger than 120 lbs, it may be difficult to get into the stand up shower as the space is super cramped.

Nice Hotel, friendly staff, they always willing to help. Hotel is centrally located, a lot of tourist attractions are walking distance, close to restaurants and pubs. Free and steady wifi, computer and printer access. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel, also kids friendly.

staff excellent- mgmt decisions needed
The La Posada staff is excellent, with positive attitudes and a cheerful demeanor. Breakfast was fine and the coffee excellent. The hotel location is very good with restaurants, other reasonable hotels, grocery store, Plaza de Arms close by. There are areas of improvement that will need management decisions to address. The bathroom ceiling paint is flaking off, there is evidence of mold and there isnt an exhaust fan. I refrained from using the shower until the last few days for these reasons. And I did notice that the shower drains very slowly , builds up and has a brownish color to it which wasnt very reassuring. Toilet papers after a bowel movement cannot be flushed down the toilet or the toilet will flood. This was totally unexpected by me. In any case, when feasible I used another hotel or facility toilet that didnt have this situation. The hotel floors are squeaky all the time. And people moving around in the normal course of business leads to loud squeaking sound. This left me tired often and without a good nights rest for early morning appointments. There isnt a policy in place for residence to not disturb the peace after let's say 9PM. And on several occasions those I advised to stop disturbing my need for quiet enjoyment didnt stop until after midnight.

We are really sorry for any inconveniencia that you may have had, We paint once a year all rooms and bathrooms, we will do this in October, we are really sorry for the inconvenience. In Peru (and most countries of South America) you can not flush down toilet paper or others, this is not something particular for us, it is the country system, that is not adequate for that. We are really sorry for any inconvenience you may have had with the noise of other passengers, we have already put up signs to not disturb after 10 pm, and the evening staff is paying more attention to this. Great service!!
The staff was exceptional. They were helpful, friendly, and courteous. They helped us get tours, they helped us with taxis, They even packed us a lunch for our trip to Macchu Picchu. The only downside to our stay was that the room we stayed in had thin walls. Breakfast was above our room and the foot traffic up the stairs in the morning could get kind of loud. I would still stay here again because the staff were so helpful. Breakfast was good too!

Small & Cozy
Small and cozy hotel/pension with basic and clean accommodations close to local sites - Staff was great for all our needs - One day we had an early tour and they even prepared us a small snack box "to go" which was greatly appreciated. Room was clean but would improve just one thing, which was the shower. Feel like we wasted a lot of water in order to get the right temperature running - while taking a shower- Otherwise my congratulations to the front desk staff - they go above and beyond to accommodate our group needs !!! Gracias !!
