"Everything was good. We did have a fire alarm go off and had to evacuate and they were experiencing a leak in the lobby, but the room was clean, comfortable, and quiet."
"Very nice and clean hotel. Room was spacious and comfortable. We didn’t use the pool, gym, or got breakfast, but they all seemed great. Would definitely stay again if in the area."
Extended Stay America Suites Newport News Yorktown
8/10 Good
"I'll be hesitant to stay at an Extended Stay America Suites place again.
Decent place for the low price. Really great location with lovely surrounding area in office park with lake.
The hotel, itself, is pretty "bare bones," but clean.
"Breakfast" is not a true advertisement
"Gym" is a closet (maybe half the size of one hotel room) with crowded, I'd guess poorly maintained and inadequate equipment - as per photo seen via Hotels.com, there a total of "Two dumbbells."
I thought I'd stayed elsewhere in Extended Stay America previously and things were significantly better. At the price point (and Hotel.com rating), I knew there was a risk. Nothing was horrible (well, maybe what they called "breakfast" was horrible because it was a misrepresentation). I just don't know if I'd like to do that again.

"This home was exactly what we needed! Plenty of beds to fit all our kiddos and the house was clean and well-stocked when we arrived. Would stay here again next time we’re in the area to visit family!"
"This is the reservation to get if you want to stay in Virginia. We absolutely loved it. It does not hurt that it has the most beautiful backyard with the most incredible view of the water. It is so calming and it felt like we were at a yoga retreat. The house itself is beautiful, and I will say that the furniture is a little bit older, but to me that was part of the charm. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was wonderful. We don't have any complaints. This was wonderful for our family and I cannot recommend it any more. For the price, it is an incredible deal and the Jets that flew over, mostly in the morning, were not a bother at all but quite cool to watch. If I ever come back to Virginia, this is the place I would choose. Just phenomenal. Great location with beautiful wildlife all over and it was just incredible. We loved it!"
