"The motel is an older style but it is very clean and comfortable. It is good value for money. The only area we felt needed attention was the bathroom tapware which is old and needs to be replaced to suit the standard provided by the room generally"

Ulmarra Hotel

Ulmarra Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is an old building so don't expect the rooms to be modern...having said that there was everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable and warm and the included breakfast was more than adequate. Check in was super easy. Be aware that there is a flight of steps to go up to all rooms so if mobility is an issue this could be a little tricky The bathrooms are shared but are close to all rooms and the showers were nice and hot. Dinner at the bistro was delicious. Despite being above the pub it was very quiet. Would recommend a stay. Quaint small town close to Grafton right on the river."

Fitzroy Motor Inn Grafton

8/10 Good
"The reception staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and tidy; however, the toilet flush buttons barely worked. The shower was not properly sealed, so water easily leaked out onto the floor. Also, the lack of a bathroom ventilation fan left the room quite humid after hot showers, even with the small window left open overnight."

Tiny Ironbark by Tiny Away

Tiny Ironbark by Tiny Away

10/10 Excellent
"Greeted by the lovely Mel on arrival & immediately made to feel welcome & right at home. My tiny home was cozy & clean, perfect for a short trip away with my dog. It can be so hard to find pet friendly accommodation, will definitely recommend & stay again next time I’m up that way. Extra bonus was the host coming down to get the fire pit going, I really appreciated that. If you enjoy the peace & quiet, you’ll love this little piece of paradise, it’s tucked away, but only 7 minutes from town & 30 min from Coffs Thank you for having Desi & I, we both really loved our stay & chilling by the fire."
