Corvara lies on the major Sella Ronda ski and bike route that surrounds the Sella massif at an altitude of over 5,000 feet (1,500 meters). Find yourself in the heart of the Alta Badia, a famous skiing region in South Tyrol that regularly hosts champion skiers in the Alpine Ski World Cup.
Explore 80 miles (130 kilometers) of ski runs, roughly divided into four zones: Alta Badia, Arabba, Val di Fassa and Val Gardena. Head toward the Val Gardena and Arabba or to runs in the lower valley. Test yourself on Gran Risa’s difficult slalom course or bring snowshoes for spectacular winter hiking.
When the weather warms up, roam Corvara’s picturesque terrain in your hiking boots. Walk through fields of wildflowers. Rocky cliffs, perfect for climbing, jut out from pine forests. On the Pralongià plateau, gaze out on a panorama of dazzling mountain peaks La Crusc/Santa Croce, Lavarella, Lagazuoi, Setsass, Civetta, Marmolada, Sella and Sassongher. Visit the nearby Fanes-Sennes-Braies nature park, which showcases some of the incredible beauty of this part of the world.

Spend time relaxing in the waters of the Sotscofes Biotope Lake, a complex of three natural ponds, with a playground for children and a restaurant. Reflect and contemplate at the Sacred Heart of Jesus or Santa Caterina d’Alessandria village churches or play a round at the popular Tranrüs golf course.
Corvara has less than 1,500 inhabitants but offers a variety of lodging for all kinds of travelers, with everything from four-star hotels to budget guest houses and family-run chalets. To get to Corvara easily, drive along the Innsbruck to Verona motorway. Local buses also run from neighboring Brunico.
