"I frequently travel to the U.K to visit my husband. We always book at this hotel, not only for the location and convenience, but for their amazing customer service. I needed to keep some food items refrigerated and frozen, they were very accommodating and kept my food in their refrigerator and freezer. The only thing I’m not a fan of, is the way the shower was designed. It’s a bit difficult to open the shower door with the floor mat. Overall, I love staying here and their breakfast option, while not complimentary is always good!"

"One of the highlights of our Northumberland road trip, Langley Castle felt like such a treat, packed with character, history and atmosphere. We ate really well, and there’s something magical about waking up in the grounds of a centuries old castle; it made the whole stay feel genuinely memorable and special. The only small downside for us was accessibility. My mother has limited mobility and found the stairs difficult, so we used the service lift to reach the drawing room. Even so, in a six hundred year old castle you can only expect so much, and the team were helpful when we needed a bit of extra support whicih made it even more fun. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend it. Thankyou!! "

"Lovely location near Hexham with stately home vibes and comfortable bedrooms. The bar overlooks the golf course and has lots of nooks and crannies to settle in with a glass of whatever to people watch. The restaurant has a very good menu and the staff are attentive and make sure all is OK with your meal. Breakfast is self serve with full platters of tasty food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"The breakfast was first rate, the cooked breakfast was just enough and cooked to perfection. The staff were amazing, really friendly and helpful which greatly improved the whole experience. The building internally would benefit from a little attention eg. Some flaking paintwork in hallway, but nothing offensive, and did not affect our stay at all. The room was clean and well presented, so glad we upgraded to Deluxe double. Noticed a little black mould on the grout around bath, but it was clear that the bathroom had been thoroughly cleamed. We loved staying at the Macdonald Linden, and would happily recommend it to other travellers We hope to return soon. Great base for exploring the beauty of Northumberland. An altogether great weekend."
