The stated check-in time for the listing is 4PM. We were about 10 min out from the property (it was close to 4:45 at this point) when I realized we hadn’t received check-in instructions yet. I had to reach out directly to request them, upon which I was told that there was a maintenance person currently at the property fixing a towel rack and they could not send us the check-in instructions until he was finished.The house itself has potential, but it’s in need of better upkeep. The coffee machine didn’t work. The towel rack in the queen bathroom on the bottom floor was broken, and the tub/shower faucet in that same bathroom stopped working on our second day. There were broken shutter pieces, the top step on the second floor was unstable (the maintenance person actually fixed this on the spot for us while he was there since it was dangerous so kudos to him), and the second floor bathroom was missing a bathtub stopper.We also noticed stained carpets, dirt/sand on the floors, and buildup on the deck and railings that hadn’t been cleaned. Storage was a bit of a challenge as well—the pantry was locked, leaving limited space to store groceries, and the closet in the master bathroom on the top floor was also locked.Overall, the property wasn’t well-prepared for guests. ##### Lauren M. Location had easy driving access to all the restaurants and community park with pickleball and disc golf. Bedrooms were clean and well equipped. Kitchen was well stocked (coffee maker does take both grounds and K-Cups). Living room is large with a big comfortable sectional couch and great TV. Internet was fast and reliable. Management company Port A Escapes was responsive and addressed a late night AC issue quickly sending out a technician within the hour and temporarily provided additional fans. Direct texts and VRBO in-app messages were responded to quickly. Overall I highly recommend the property and management company Port A Escapes. ##### Brian L.
