Hi Kevin, Our reception hours are stated on the site when you make a booking, and we are sorry we missed you. Staff were still on site but obviously missed you arriving. We have thought about a key safe but we do enjoy greeting our guests face to face generally. I am a tad disappointed that you felt the need to score us so poorly when we issued a refund to you straight away without you even requesting one, and that you also arrived outside of our office hours without a call before you arrived to see if we could get you checked in once you arrived. I am quite sure that you like to step away from work once your hours for the day are met, and we are no different to you! Our reception is open for 12 hours a day so maybe pre call in future when arriving late to let staff know and you may not be met with the same situation. I find it very unfair that (a) you didnt stay here and (b) you still get to leave us a terrible review when we were not open and (c) we provided you a full refund when we didn't have to.

Hi Ian, I wont say thankyou for your unpleasant review because what you have scored us is because you were a disgruntled guest as you checked in. You arrived to check in and wanted to cancel your second night whilst standing in the office, our cancellation policy clearly states 7 days notice, to which you were quite rude to staff when you were informed that you could not cancel on the day of check in, so the price you payed was for your 2 night booking instead of 1 night, you were placed in one of our sanitised clean modern bathroom rooms and if you had any trouble with your tv you could have got our staff to assist you. I have never had someone complain that the room smells cleaned or sanitised before as isn't that what you would like to smell? Seems your better off finding somewhere else next time, but remember their cancellation policy is more than likely to be 7 days also, next time write a review based on what you got instead of writing it based on your disgruntled mood.
