I was booking their hotel on an island with a beach, not the one on the bay without a beach. Since I saw only an animated picture online I called the hotel to verify it was the one on the island and even confirmed it more than 1 way. I get there 3 months later and it's the wrong one. A trip I planned for months, first time in Asia, my dream vacation, and I got fooled. I showed the hotel manager my Expedia link (actually 3 links) all pointing to the island hotel. They seemed surprised. REALLY?? For months you had all Expedia links showing the island hotel and had no idea?? Not believable. They upgraded us to a suite and comped us 1 lunch and 1 dinner. Besides the bed being rock hard, like all the hotels we stayed at in Thailand and Philippines, the hotel was nice. No activities tho, not lively, seemed largely empty, and the buffet breakfast had NO pancakes, NO waffles or french toast, NO pastries, NO sweets whatsoever. REALLY?? That's an incomplete buffet by anyone's standard. I've never seen that before. We made the best of it through tours and stuff, but no one likes to be surprised and delayed starting off with a headache like a completely wrong location. Shame on them for misleading us!!!
