The cabin at Coragulac House was perfect for our needs. Cosy and comfortable - tucked away on the property for privacy. The cabin had all that we needed - Gary and Sharyn were friendly and helpful.
Gorgeous setting and so comfy - we highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again!

It’s a very pretty cottage.
I personally think Garry and Sharyn did an amazing job to upkeep and maintain the condition of the property, given it was built back in 1800s. We stayed at Maids Quarter, which is 2 bed, separate kitchen, lounge room, and bathroom, very spacious and well equipped.
The atmosphere is quiet and idyllic.
Would like to come back for longer stay.

We stayed in the Monash Cottage as it is pet friendly, this was a major attraction for our stay. The Monash Cottage is quite a rustic building with a unique history, however the basic nature of the building won’t be for everyone. But it worked really well for our purposes and would stay again. This site is an interesting piece of living history in a rural setting.

I chose the Maids' Quarters primarily because it had two separate bedrooms with a queen sized bed in each. It turns out there was so much more to enjoy in this accomodation. The tastefully done furnishings and fittings, the fully stocked kitchen, the spaciousness, the quiet at night.
Gary met us when we arrived and was happy to answer any question and give us tips on local eateries.
Overall we were delighted with the property. It was very clean and comfortable and we did not want for anything.
Value for money, lovely setting, happy to recommend
Everything you could want for a self contained very comfortable and tranquil stay in the Colac Otway region, just rug up on those really cold winter days as the room heating is a little light on.

Attention to detail re the accommodation was excellent.
There was a sense of the history of a Western District historic property.
The information in the material provided was really interesting and brought the Maids' Quarters to life.
The only suggestion we would make is to have slightly more visible signage on the road.
Bed was very comfortable and shower was lovely!!
Hosts Garry & Sharyn met us upon arrival and told us a bit about the history of the place and the area. Very welcoming!

Rustic outlook was lovely. A little difficult to find. Internal steps without a handrail to the toilet was concerning to negotiate for elderly mother during the night. A welcome pack, or availability of breakfast would be a nice option being so far out of the way.
Monash Cottage is not for everyone; it’s very quaint and out of the way. But if you are after absolute silence at night, and the wonderful smells of the countryside in the early crisp mornings, then this is an absolute gem. Not far off the beaten track either, and with views back to the adjacent and magnificent Coragulac House.
This is a great country getaway, only an hour from a major city (GEELONG). Beautiful countryside, and fabulous historic property. We stayed in the Monash cottage out back whic( was very cosy and quiet. The weather was good for us, but it might get a bit chilly in winter — so rug up.
Absolutely wonderful experience! Garry and Sharyn were a delight and being shown what they’ve done with restoring the manor house and stables for events was such a treat.
The Monash cottage was lovely to stay in: clean, spacious, charming, and very well equipped. A total gem in the countryside.
Would definitely come back here for a longer stay.
What a gem. We loved our stay in the Maids Cottage. Sharron and Garry made us so welcome. The cottage forms part of the 30 room historic Coragulac House which is just amazing. Cant wait to go back and do a tour of the house.
