« The Paddler's Retreat is REALLY out of the way. We enjoyed our stay however, people need to understand that all services are limited. Due to Covid there is only a very limited breakfast, mostly cold. If you want tea, you will need to use the microwave. The range is not available. Furthermore, the options are more limited for dinner. There is only a gas station / limited eatery that stop serving at 6:30pm. The little town, Confluence is about 5 miles away. « We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was clean, comfortable and welcoming. We loved the fire pit, provided logs, organized kitchen and atmosphere. We did have a few run ins with some ants but not many. The host also tried to fix wifi issues for us but we were without it most of the stay. We would still come back! It made us put the technology down which was nice for a change. Thank you so much for opening up your place to us. We had a ball. »

"Je n'attendais pas grand chose de cet établissement à part un lieu simple et propre pour faire étape. J'ai découvert une chambre au charme désuet (passons), à la moquette crasseuse et baignée par une forte odeur de renfermé et tabac froid. La climatisation était assourdissante et il a fallu l'éteindre pour fermer l'oeil. Mais le comble fut de découvrir après une mauvaise nuit que j'avais été piquée par des punaises de lit, avec une belle allergie en prime. La médiocrité du petit-déjeuner est-elle pertinente à relever ? Un conseil, passez votre chemin !"
