When is the best time to go to Colon?

The best time to go to Colon, Curaçao, is during the dry season, which runs from February to June. This period offers consistently sunny weather and pleasant temperatures, making it ideal for enjoying the island's outdoor activities and beaches. During these months, you'll experience less humidity and very little rain, ensuring your plans aren't interrupted by unexpected showers. The average daily temperature hovers comfortably around 28°C (82°F), superb for swimming, snorkelling, or simply relaxing by the sea. Couples looking for a romantic getaway will find this period particularly appealing, as the clear skies and calm seas create a beautiful backdrop for sunset cruises, beachside dinners, and exploring the colourful streets of Willemstad. The conditions are also excellent for diving and snorkelling, allowing you to discover Curaçao's vibrant underwater world together. For travellers seeking a relaxing escape, the dry season provides the superb conditions for unwinding. You can enjoy the island's many beaches, take leisurely strolls through historic Punda and Otrobanda, or simply soak up the sun without concern for inclement weather.

LionsDive Beach Resort

10/10 Excellent

"Everything was outstanding. Staff was great. Everyone was so helpful."

The Rif at Mangrove Beach Corendon Curacao All-Inclusive, Curio by Hilton

8/10 Good

"El resort es bonito, la comida deberían de variar el menú y sin dudar el personal del bufet de los bares y restaurantes deberían ser más amigables sonreír un poco más hay muchos que son antipáticos del resto aceptable"

Courtyard by Marriott Curacao

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel is ideally located, just a 7-minute walk from Brion City in downtown Curaçao. The staff were warm, friendly, and very helpful throughout our stay. Our only issue was that we were not adequately informed about the hotel’s technology for the Do Not Disturb function and housekeeping requests. As we did not have a bellman to assist us upon arrival, we were unsure about the location and operation of the light switches. Unfortunately, we inadvertently activated the Do Not Disturb feature and, as a result, our room was not serviced for two days. A brief explanation of the room’s technology and housekeeping procedures upon check-in would have been very helpful and would have prevented this misunderstanding. Overall, however, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the hospitality of the staff."

Sunscape Curacao Resort, Spa & Casino - All Inclusive

8/10 Good

"Housekeeping is excellent considering the rooms are not updated they are accommodating to visitors request. Some Registration staff are on rotation from other islands and are very professional. It appears I encountered only one agent who wasn’t taught how to seek out answers to questions proposed and didn’t seem to know the “I’m not so sure or let me double check that”. As travelers I know see and feel when a person is unsure but appears to conjure an answer that is very questionable. Therefore as a traveler. my common sense kicked in to reconfirm an answers. Meals are delicious and give plenty of options and variety of foods. Servers and bar tenders are inviting you with smiles and laughter. The exfoliating experience in the spa did not disappoint."
