My room was very clean and was cleaned nicely each day. There was tea making facilities, a small fridge and 24 hours of hot water. The staff are friendly and helpful. Next door is a very cheap and easy place to get snack, tea and coffee. Literally round the corner is a bigger more comprehensive place to eat and down the road a few metres is a well stocked supermarket. Across Galle Road (3 minutes walk) is Marino Mall with a great little tea and cake shop, a coffee shop, ice cream place, plenty of choices for eating and a bar too. The bus stop is outside Marino Mall and is super cheap and fast into the centre of the city for just SK Rs 20/-. If you don’t expect too much in terms of facilities or luxury this is a clean and comfortable place to stay in a good location. The tv didn't work, the A/C was very weak, we were only able to cool down by turning the ceiling fan on high and laying on the bed directly under it. There were tiny bugs all over the small table next to the door. Unfortunately we didn't notice until a few hours after we put some of our bags on it. There was also a larger bug in the shower who ran away once the water was turned on. The towels were thin and stained. We left before breakfast, so I can't speak to that. On nous a donné en fait une chambre triple. Il faut savoir que l'hôtel ne dispose pas de chambre familiale. Malgré ce gros incident, nous avons quand même passé un bon séjour dans cet hôtel mais nous étions tout de même à l'étroit dans la chambre et dans les lits. On aurait aimé une ristourne mais que dalle. Apparemment, la commission pour les intermédiaires est si importante qu'ils ne pouvaient pas nous faire de geste commercial. Mouais... Ceci dit, le personnel était courtois, sympa, au petit soin malgré tout. Salle de bain spatieuse. Télé ok. Sèche-cheveux bon marché sur demande. Balcon sans intérêt. La porte donnant sur le balcon est très mal insonorisée. I needed the location as I was staying on a business trip. The only downside was that when I needed to leave a day earlier a refund was not possible as per the booking agreement, which is reasonable. There was also a 25$ early check in fee that was not stated anywhere on the website... we got in to Colombo about 5 hours earlier than planned and ended up basically paying for an extra night. The room smelled a bit damp which you got used to.
