Boss claimed we booked a room without AC which simply isn't true, however offered us an 'upgrade' to an AC room. Room was small and the toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor it was also a little noisy due to the rooftop bar close by. AC stopped working overnight so we were forced to change rooms again. Final room was nice, a bit more space and a bit quieter on the back of the hotel. Location is good, very close to the water and we used ubers to get into the city which was reasonably cheap and took about 20-30mins. Staff were very accommodating and allowed us a late check out that lined up with our train journey so we could change and use the bathroom before leaving. Roy the manager, was excellent for advice and guidance, couldn't do enough to help. Hotel basic and cheep. Restaurant under construction. Lots of local restaurants nearby. Good food. 300 rupees max with tuktuk from city centre. Wide bed, small balcony, AirConditioner, and shower booth with toilet are equipped. Omlet and sausage, and bread are served for breakfast. Reception and staff are kind as typical nation in Srilanka. If you need only bed, it might be good one. The hotel is right near a beach, but you can't swim. The window faces an outside wall. Its about 5km to the city. The bathroom was dirty and smelled a bit. The shower was terrible. Wifi was ok speed.
