"Great helpful staff, lovely accommodation (& sunsets) and a nice pool. Breakfast was plentiful, though not much variety. The cottage was nice, clean and modern. With a couple of small touches, it would have been excellent. For example, it sleeps four, but there is only a two person table and chairs outside which was a struggle to eat from. The cleaning was great, but a dust pan and brush would have helped us keep it tidy during our stay in between cleans. Inclusion of basics, such as salt and...

"Lovely hotel in a quiet location in beautiful spacious grounds. Sabrina was very friendly and helpful also providing a good varied breakfast. Pool looked great although too cold for us to use when we were there in mid-May. Large room with a very comfortable large bed, great bathroom and shower and great balcony overlooking the countryside. A car is needed as too far and steep to walk to the local restaurants."

"Run-down hotel. The pool needs to be looked after, the food was horrible, and the room had a kitchen but absolutely nothing in it - no utensils, pots and pots or plates. The breakfast and dinner is served in the hotel lobby. There are holes in the wall on the balcony, the trash was overflowing in the communal bins and the room was SO hot because the air conditioner couldn’t keep the room cold."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Ciotta?
The best area to stay in Ciotta for most travellers is the historic centre, particularly around Piazza Duomo and the streets leading to the Marina.

The historic centre is Ciotta's heart, characterised by its narrow, winding streets, Baroque architecture, and lively option. Piazza Duomo, dominated by the Ciotta Cathedral, is a natural focal point, surrounded by cafes and shops. The area is largely pedestrianised, making it ideal for exploring on foot, and it stretches down towards the Marina, where you'll find seafood restaurants and boats.

For couples seeking a romantic and convenient base, the historic centre is perfect. You'll be within easy walking distance of Ciotta's main attractions, such as the Teatro Greco and the Villa Comunale gardens, which offer stunning views of the coastline. Evenings can be spent enjoying al fresco dining or a leisurely stroll along the Corso Umberto I, browsing artisan shops.

Families will also find the historic centre appealing due to its central location and access to amenities. Many hotels offer family rooms, and the proximity to the Marina means easy access to boat trips or simply enjoying the seaside.
When is the best time to go to Ciotta?
The best time to visit Ciotta is during the shoulder seasons, specifically from late April to early June and again from September to October.

During these periods, you'll experience pleasant weather, with warm but not overly hot temperatures, ideal for exploring the town and its surroundings. The sea is warm enough for swimming, and the natural scenery is at its most beautiful, with lush landscapes before the summer heat takes hold or as the autumn colours begin to appear.

These months also avoid the peak summer crowds of July and August, meaning you'll find the popular attractions, beaches, and restaurants to be less busy. This allows for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience, making it easier to secure reservations and find a quiet spot on the sand.

Couples looking for a romantic and comfortable getaway will find these times particularly appealing.

To find flexible deals, filter your search by "Fully refundable property" for hotels in Ciotta.
