Great location! Perfect for a visit to Levanto and Cinque Terre. The AC did not work well, but we loved the balcony for morning coffee, fresh air, and view of the town.

Good hotel
Good hotel located in the old city, by the sea. Big rooms and cosy with good breakfast. The parking is outside the old city, 5 minute walk, near the train station.

Gem in Levanto!!!
Loved this family run hotel. Nice breakfast, spacious, clean and comfortable room. Free parking a few blocks away in a secure lot. Super friendly and helpful staff. Would love to come back and stay again.

3 nights poor sleep
The gentleman on reception was very very friendly and gave great information of the area. Unfortunately we had 3 nights of poor sleep due to a very hard bed and pillows plus noise issues. Inside the hotel you hear any noise, talking, bangs moving chairs etc, outside was noisy well into the night and then early morning we guessed deliveries and bin collections. Our room was sad, with an outlook of a raised road just infront. Breakfast was ok, would not stay here again.

Best holiday hotel in Cinque Terre
This was an exceptional stay here. The service, location, hosts, breakfast buffet, extraordinary. We will definitely return next year. The service at breakfast was superb. You must try the local cheeses. And the host makes delicious cakes daily that are not to be missed. The room was spacious and clean, and in order. It was worth the extra night's stay.

Very nice hotel
About 10 minute walk from train station, 15 with luggage. You can use the street to go down instead of the stairs if that works better for you. Good place to stay to see Cinq Terre: many train departures. There is an elevator after five steps at the hotel. The hotel staff was welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast was very good. Homemade cake! Room was small but modern and very functional. There are a few grocery stores around. The larger one being Conad - 5 minute walk. Several restaurants nearby. Would definitely go back.

The stay at hotel garden was great! The person who checked us in was very nice and professional. The hotel was in ZTL but we were able to drive to the hotel and gave our plate number so the hotel can let the police know. The parking is about 10 mins walk but it was nice to have a free parking there. The breakfast was pretty good too with a variety of options. The location was perfect. Many stores, restaurant and bars nearby and the beach is literally a minute away. I would def stay here again.

Can't get any closer to the beach
We had to walk around for a few minutes to find the door buzzer for the hotel, but once we got in everything was great. We were greeted by a personable and knowledgeable young man who helped us with parking and what to do in the area with the time we had. He also gave us all the info we needed for taking the train to the Cinque Terre villages.

Good location
We drove to Levanto and easily found the Garden by the road signs for the hotel as we entered town. A nice point after the usual required searching we had encountered in other towns. The have a gated parking field! No worries about tickets. Nice folks, good breakfast , and well located to walk to the station or see the town. We used the train as all lower paths were closed by weather or construction. And te lot of Ligurean food.

Wow! As soon as we walked into the door, the management was trying to make us feel as welcome as possible and did a thorough job of orienting us to the town and surrounding areas...giving us tips on when to go where and what to avoid and how they could help make our stay more enjoyable. The room was more spacious than expected and was extremely clean. The a/c worked extremely well and the large glass doors opening out onto the balcony were equipped with a metal roll down screen to keep the room shaded during the heat of the day and keep out some of the noise from the street below at night (it did get a little loud on Friday and Sat night). There were chairs on a balcony overlooking one of the main streets below in the town where we were able to enjoy our evenings after putting our son to bed and watch the locals and Italian vacationers enjoying themselves in the street below. The hotel had a couple of bikes that were available for guests to check out at no charge to explore the local area as well as a beach umbrella and beach towels that could be borrowed. They also provided us with train schedules and boat schedules. The breakfast provided each morning was lovely as well and what you would expect from a decent hotel in Europe: ham, cheese, butter, breads, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. Levanto was a great base with a kid too...there was a wonderful playground area in the square near our hotel. Great seafood right downstairs!!! Best meals of our Italy trip!

Convenient Hotel for Cinque Terre
Lovely stay, great alternative to staying in Cinque Terre. Close to train station (10 minute walk). Levanto is a lovely little town, very lively and safe.

The staff were extremely helpful and very good to deal with. The atmosphere is really welcoming and relaxing. The rooms are comfortable but the main bed was a little hard for our liking. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely come back and stay there again.

Lovely hotel close to beach.
Great location, good breakfast lovely coffee and croissants. Has tea and coffee making facilities, great advice about where to eat, has bikes to borrow, close to beach in fact across the road. We rode along old railway track to next two towns about 10kms there and back on flat road. Would recommend this hotel 5/5.

great location..but not the best experience
I was just at Hotel Garden. Its close enough to the train station so you can walk there...but you have no other choice as I did not see one taxi there (I think they are hard to come by). The location of the hotel is great...its right by the water and there is a good restaurant right next to it. However, I could not sleep at night because I could hear everyone and everything thing that happened on the streets downstairs everynight...was a little rough. The breakfast was just ok. The shower is really really tiny. There is no elevator that gets to the 2nd floor which is where the hotel is located. All in all my experience was just ok..but I definitely wouldnt stay there again.

Our stay was very enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good. We love the area because it is away from the hustle and bustle of the Cinque Terra tourist crowds. Levanto was quiet town with great restaurants near and around the Garden Hotel.

Awesome sights
Great location if you want to visit all 5 towns .No need to stay in any Chinque Terre towns because trains will take you anywhere you need to go in minutes from Levanto.We enjoyed the fantastic views of all 5 towns from land and by sea.We have been to Sorrento Italy and enjoyed the Amalfi coast in 2014 but I can say this journey was even better for scenery.

Need no more to enjoy Levanto
We planned to use this hotel as a base and visit other places. It turned out that we enjoyed this town and hotel very much and evryday looked forward to come back.

Hotels in or near Cinque Terre are costly. I would say this one is a nice hotel giving good value for money. Good sized room and walking distance to the railway station. Lots of restaurants nearby.

If you are in a pinch and need a hotel!
Very bland hotel... Nothing special... If you are in a pinch and need a place it is clean but not very comfortable. The front counter staff was super helpful on check-in telling everything we need to know about the Cinque Terre! The hotel is actually in an apartment building and is scattered about different floors... Luckily there is an elevator but it only goes to certain levels. The bed I found was hard but the room was large and it came with exterior blackout shutters which were nice to keep the early morning noise and sun out. It was in a good location close to the beach but a far but doable walk from the train station... So if you are staying in Levanto while visiting the Cinque Terre it can get annoying! I think Levanto is a good option though if visiting the Cinque Terre because the Cinque Terre is now a tourist trap!!!! Trains are often over an hour delayed due to people trying to get on or off... The platforms are packed... And I mean like a mosh pit! I was even told that if staying in Vernazza you might not even be able to find a place to eat at night! Levanto on the other hand is less packed and still has the small town feel it's just not part of the Cinque Terre! Be warned of the breakfast... I found a piece of paper from a used sugar pack in my yogurt and my girlfriend found a couple of hairs in the baked goods! Other than that basic European breakfast.

Perfect location for beach and restaurants.
David was a true professional, friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had rain plus the train strike which only allowed one day of hiking as the park closes when it rains. David was kind enough to credit us for the unused time toward next year's planned visit. The room was wonderful, overlooked the rear of the building and was quiet, with a small balcony and chairs to sit, clothes line to hang clothes if needed. The breakfast room was cheerful, clean and abundantly stocked with an array of food from cheeses, sausages, breads, rolls, sweets, cereals and the like in addition to juices, coffee and tea. We were very pleased with our stay.

Good option if staying near airport
Great hotel if you need to stay close to the airport. New and modern. Spacious rooms, good internet and good shower. Easy 8 minute walk to the airport and safe to walk around at night. There are cheaper B&B options, but pretty good for $100. We had an early flight that left at 6am so we could wake up and walk without worrying.

Very nice hotel in center of Levanto. In a ZTL
Hotel Garden was very nice. It's in a ZTL zone so be sure you are allowed to drive to it and drop off your luggage as parking is near the train station and a brisk ten minute walk. Staff and room were great. It's just across the street from a local park and a nice sidewalk shopping area. The train station to Cinque Terre is adjacent to the hotel parking. The elevator does not serve the hotel but if you need help with luggage the hotel staff is very friendly and ready to help. I recommend the hotel, but read the ZTL signs carefully and try to come with minimal baggage.

Hotel is conveniently located for visitors to Cinque Terre. It is next to the beach, 10 minutes walk to train station. The car parking is free (great plus). The staff is very friendly and gives detailed information about Cinque Terre points of interest. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Good WI-FI.

Overall, the hotel room was good, the bed was comfortable and we could hear the sound of the ocean surf each night.. Close to Cinque Terre, within walking distance to train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful, near the beach, although the view was obscured by the road overpass running above the beach wall. The breakfast was your typical continental style, which we felt could have been a bit better in terms of food choices.. But one day when we and another couple had to catch the train early one morning, the staff opened the kitchen early and had hot coffee and croissants ready for us - a nice touch. Overall, it was good value for the money..

Wonderful hotel!
My only wish about this hotel is that we had stayed there longer! This is a beautiful hotel right by the beach with modern rooms and amenities. Wi-fi worked very well! Staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. The shower's water temperature and pressure were perfect and there was a nice large ledge to put your things onto while showering. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! The only thing is that the hair dryer was not your typical one, it didn't seem as powerful but it didn't really bother me. The hotel is in the loveliest town, Levanto, which is very close to Cinque Terre by train. The station is about a 10 minute walk to the hotel and there are lots of signs. There are tons of great restaurants in the town and several grocery stores. I would recommend this hotel!

Great Location!
This was a great hotel in Levanto right beside the beach. The hotel was clean and the host was friendly. The best part about the hotel is the distance to the beach and being able to hear the ocean while you sleep. Would highly recommend this if you plan on visiting Cinque Terre as there are trains that go back and fourth between towns making it easy to see all five.
