"We were made to wait for check in(understandable) but the service was cold. When we then checked in at 3pm and went to room it had yet to be made and was filthy from the previous guests. What is most annoying is what happened/didn't happen next. No customer care, no management, pretty poor all round. The lack of service or care ruined the experience. Would never book again"

"This hotel is OK if you are staying for 1 or 2 nights and are happy to live out of your suitcase. However there are a number of issues if you are staying for a longer period. 1. Storage space - There are no drawers in the rooms, to put things like underwear or small clothing items. In the double room there was only one bedside cabinet which meant all my bedside items (book, phone etc) had to go on the floor 2. Bathroom - There wasn't one. The handbasin was in the passage between the door of the room and the bedroom section. There was a shower compartment which opened onto the bedroom with a curtain to hide you when you were showering. My wife loves me very much but did not particularly want to see me washing my "bits". 3. If you are female there is nowhere to put make up or any other things that a lady needs to make herself presentable on leaving the room. 4. Breakfast was nice but because the hotel appears to cater especially for tour groups it is difficult to get a table at times. 5. Hotel bar - There is no bar service,you have to wait for a waiter to take your order and bring it. On one occasion this resulted in a 15 minute wait before ordering and then a 30 minute wait for the drinks to arrive. 6. Room cleaning - They have an unnecessary technological system where you press a button the wall to request room cleaning the next day. We did this - the room was not cleaned. I am not sure how this is more efficient than hanging a note on your door requesting the room be cleaned"

"This hotel is nicely within walking distance to the Gate, the Reichstag, the Wall. The staff here were absolutely excellent and so helpful with any questions or directions. I had to have medication stored and they easily accommodated me. My only complaint is that the air conditioning is virtually non existent so it was very hot sleeping and the bed was too hard for my liking. They provide a wonderful breakfast with a very nice variety of food and drinks to meet everyone’s needs. I would stay there again if we ever returned to Berlin"

The only negative was that my room didn’t have a refrigerator to keep my medicine that required refrigeration, I had to give it to the front desk every day to keep it in the refrigerator for me. Other rooms had a refrigerator ."
