We strongly recommend that you arrive in a car as it will give you much freedom to explore and enjoy the beautiful West Sussex area. With electric entry gates vehicle are secure, and the ample driveway offers plenty of room for parking.

The pool is shallow. No diving is allowed. The pool opens mid-late May (weather dependent) and closed end of September.  
  
The home has a roof terrace that is not in use.  
  
There are external security cameras at this property.

#### Great location lovely house

Lindfields is a lovely family home in a great location. It’s very clear that it’s used regularly by the owners which means you need to be prepared to find their personal effects all over the house. Whilst the books and pictures are interesting, it’s a little unusual / disconcerting to find personal items in chests of drawers, wardrobes and bedside tables when you expect them to be clear and ready for your items. If there is one thing the owners could improve, I would say it’s the attention to detail. This is a premium property and you pay a premium price so you would expect the details to be right. For example, the house manual is very light on details - is there a microwave and if so, how does it work..? It would be nice to have a small starter pack in the fridge with maybe some milk etc… We tried to watch a Sky TV show but were prompted for a code which was not provided. The WiFi in the main house was a bit patchy but, in the games room it wasn’t working at all and I had to sort it myself after 2 days by eventually finding and restarting a network hub in a cupboard in a bedroom above the room. The freezer door in the fridge is broken and falls out when you open it and the boiling water tap doesn’t work. All of these little things are easy to fix and the details that make the difference. Having said all that, we had a great break with our friends and would happily go back as overall, it’s a lovely house.

#### What a wonderful stay

We spent a weekend with friends, 4 adults and 3 teens and we all had an amazing time. The house is very spacious, well decorated, the garden is huge, with even a tennis court; the heated pool and the gym/play room were a real bonus with the kids too. The bedrooms are spacious, beautiful, quite a few of them en-suite. What made the weekend for me is that we all slept really well too as the bed / mattresses were of great quality. We also weren’t far from the beach so had lovely walks with the dogs. Gemma the property manager was really helpful. All in all, a great place, we would happily recommend this house for a holiday, and maybe even come back!

#### Our stay at the Lindfields

The property is amazing a equipped for every activity and form of entertainment. Unfortunately, we did not feel it was well managed, and this seriously affected our enjoyment and our stay. We were expecting a ‘meet & greet’ service which we didn’t get. This would have been useful for a property/grounds of this size to show guests around and show them how to use certain things. The main gates got locked in the open position and this had to be sorted out via text which wasn’t ideal and took up most of the first evening. Then we were expecting a Sky engineer to attend on Sunday as arranged by Gemma, however nobody showed up and we were left with no access to Sky television for the duration of our stay and no communication or explanation for this which was less than satisfactory. To further add to the shambolic organisation and poor communication from the property manager, the pool man turned up without our knowledge to clean the pool which we were using at the time. This obviously meant we had to vacate the pool whilst he was carrying out his duties. It would have been helpful to know he was going to be attending, so we could have been doing a different activity. To top everything off we only informed (by email) 20 mins before check out that we were not able to have late check out, which had been confirmed the evening before, and subsequently the cleaners turned up. This completely ruined the final day as we were all hurrying around trying to gather our belongings and pack up. I cannot believe in such a situation that we were not called by the property manager to inform us we had to check out at 10am. We paid a lot of money for this trip and don’t feel we received the kind of service we would expect when spending this kind of money.
