I made the mistake of paying in advance, and really regretted it because I felt forced to book another hotel the 2nd night, even though I'd paid for this place. The walls are very thin and the hallways are echo every voice loudly. My room was right on the stairwell and I could hear people walking up and down the stairs and talking loudly until late at night. I asked for a change of room to get away from the stairs but the hotel employee refused to move my room. To make matters worse, the hotel employees did not enforce any kind of quiet hours policy, guests were allowed to bang on each other's doors and talk loudly in the hall until quite late. To make everything worse, the hotel seems to be near a shooting range, as I was woken up around 8 am by the sounds of guns going off. Now it is a bit tired and in need of a touch up. For $25 per night it is probably good value. However the wifi was a little unreliable. No breakfast. No daily housekeeping / fresh towels (although I would assume they would have provided if we had asked.) It is clean enough. The air con works. The bed was typical Thai (firmer than I prefer). But I can live with that. Would I recommend?
