Very nice balcony overlooking the lake to go fishing right on your balcony if you had fishing poles very quiet clean no street lights glaring into your room keeping you all lit up at night very nice lots of local small pizzerias and Italian restaurant right there within a couple of miles from there plenty to eat

The toilet was dirty and there were stains in carpet. It was a lake front property when we opened the balcony door a lot of mosquitoes came in the room.Luckily I had the spray.it was just one night stay I planned.I wouldn't recommend this place for family.

This place has nothing to offer other than the water from looking over the balcony no elevator no breakfast no pool it had two weddings during our stay it cost too much for what it had to offer no employees available at checkout I would never stay again and too many trains also I'm disabled and had to climb stairs to get to my room they didn't have enough staff so if you needed anything you would need to go ask for the items they never came to the room

This was the worst stay I have ever booked via Expedia. The staff was rude. A storm came through a couple hours after we arrived. We had no power from around 5 pm until after noon the next day. We packed up and left a day early. The whole experience was very disappointing- the hotel is on a small lake… in the back of a shopping center. We will not be back.

Good waterfront rental. I mistakenly thought it was located on Lake Michigan. It is NOT located on Lake Michigan. It’s located next to a strip mall which is convenient with a Walgreens, Aldi’s and Jewel grocery store within a few blocks of the motel. Lake Chesterton is located behind the motel with a nice view. You can feed geese and turtles from your patio that’s suspended over the water. Our room had a hot tub, which was a nice perk. Friendly staff. Lake Michigan rentals are difficult to find, so this was a good substitute if you are going to the Dunes Park.

Pros: Location is great. Close to Dunes, Michigan City for casino and shopping, downtown is close and quaint. Plenty of eating options too. Didn't see any bugs in the room (although the concern was there). Shower was decent and toilet worked. Cons: Felt like they just opened for the season and staff hasn't gotten to all the rooms yet. Hard to sleep with noise from guests running up the hallway and banging doors. Also there's a wedding venue next door, so could hear fireworks or something popping in the middle of the night (out of their control of course). Best Western is across the way and from the outside it looked so much cleaner, plus they have amenities. They also have better access to the pond. There's cobwebs throughout property (in our room, balcony, saw a nice one outside of a room door like it hasn't been open in months), stains on floor and curtain, old doors, old towels, etc. Also no amenities including full cable TV. For the price, they should at least offer premium channels. Was nervous to eat in room for fear bugs would appear, but didn't see any, so that's a plus. In all the place definitely needs some TLC. Maybe it was just an off week, but once was enough for me.
