Sitting on 8 acres of privately owned land bordering the Chattahoochee National Forest only 10 miles from downtown Blue Ridge, The Dream Room is the perfect getaway for honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, or any special celebration. 90 miles from downtown Atlanta... this is a tranquil spot to relax, breathe, and rejuvenate your soul. You need this. \* Note from host: Since I was 5 years old, the fantasy of building a true mountain log cabin, deep in the woods, far away from the beaten path, has only been a dream… until now. This little slice of heaven is finally finished, nestled so comfortably in the Blue Ridge mountains where the trees are taller than any of our troubles. Five years of planning and 27 months of building came to a completion in 2024\. I'm so very excited to share my dream with the world. Please note: The second bedroom is actually a small loft space with a nice futon bed (sheets, blankets, and pillow are kept in a cedar chest in the loft). It's mainly set up for a child or teenager, but just fine for an adult as well. A gate has been installed at the deck entrance, so no worries about children falling down stairs or dogs wandering off. Just ask your host. \*\*\* WIFI is currently active at 500 mbps. (fiber optic) SUMMER TUBING!!! So much fun. This property is conveniently located 5 miles from the Toccoa River tubing companies. Just a short drive through the forest and you are there! Rent a tube, and they will shuttle you to the drop in. It's kid friendly (mellow), and so beautiful. Please read "House rules" before booking. We ARE NOT strict hosts, but the rules are important (especially when it comes to fires).... This is a remote location on a mountain, so any negligence or irresponsibility with the fire pit, fireworks, or smoking could be extremely devastating to the all surrounding forestry. Other than a garden hose and fire extinguishers, there is absolutely no way to put out a fire should one get out of hand. Smokey the Bear says: "ONLY YOU can prevent forest fires." Other things to note: \* The cabin is in a rugged and mountainous setting. \* The cabin is not handicap accessible. \* The water here is awesome... pure mountain spring water from a 400 ft. well (filtered twice - tested for purity) \* No need to bring bottled water. \* There is no indoor tub, only a shower & an outdoor hot tub. \* Smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit provided. \* There is plenty of outdoor lighting, but bringing a flashlight is always a good idea. So clean, so cute, everywhere you look there is a fun light switch or decoration. It's so convenient, right in between Downtown Blue Ridge and Downtown Ellijay! Highly recommend! ##### Crystal M. The dream room, cabin itself was a honeymooners delight. Such a quiet and relaxing environment. The cabin has such exquisite attention to detail and the view from the deck is beautiful. The cabin is well stocked with anything one might need and even has wine available. It's the perfect romantic getaway. The cabin itself is cozy and well-appointed, with a fireplace that made our evenings feel incredibly special. The views from the deck were absolutely breathtaking, and we loved sipping our coffee there each morning. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals, which was a nice touch. It felt secluded and private, but we were still close enough to town to grab dinner one night. This is the ideal spot for anyone looking to reconnect and relax in a beautiful, serene setting.
