Location was close to Cherokee, Waynsville and Asheville.There are a lot of new cabins being built so not many open fields and the Elk did not come close to cabin but there was a farm next to neighborhood where they would come every evening to graze and we would drive over there to watch them.Norma was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had about the property or area. I spent time talking to and getting to know the neighbors, all very nice people. Spectacular views yet close to everything we needed, even saw an elk walking across the street. Communication with the owner was second to none. Even though you have neighbors everyone is friendly and respects your privacy. Cabin is very well appointed and exceptionally clean. However the killer is the outside deck.
