Easy access to city by UberPosted 7-Oct-2017
Pros: Easy access to city.
Location: Patriots Point Angle Oak Charleston Tea Plantation City of Charleston
Overall hotel was OK. Room was clean but next day housekeeping didn’t even clean shower, wet towel still hanging on faucet. Didn’t do much better next day, didn’t vacuum the carpet. The price was a little high for a OK hotel across the river from the city. Location was easy access to city with Uber and pice for that good.

Pros: Easy to get to
Cons: Just looked depressed and dirty
Bathroom must have had recent water damage to ceiling as you could tell mold had been painted over.

I have stayed at this location several times and so far they have been consistent in all areas, service, cleanliness etc.
Great value and locationPosted 5-Jul-2017 on Hotels
Super helpful and friendly staff. Hotel is in quiet side neighborhood of the main road, lots of dog walkers, joggers, locals, enjoying the area and the waterfront park just down the street. Easy access to Charleston and Sullivan Island. Would definitely stay here again.

Close to Patriot's Point.Posted 16-Jun-2017
Cons: Most hotels served us a breakfast with eggs and some meat (bacon - sausage - etc) during the week. This hotel did not do that during the week.
Nice location, it is close to Patriot's Point and just over the bridge from downtown Charleston. We were only staying one night and wanted to see Fort Sumter. It was close to the ferry deportation at Patriot's Point. So it was a good location for us. The price was much better than staying in downtown Charleston. The hotel was clean. The bathroom and sink are separated, which is nice. I didn't like the layout where they had the ice machine all the way down on one end of the floor, but that is a small inconvenience. The free breakfast did not have eggs and sausage-bacon since it was not the weekend. So the breakfast was just ok. The staff was friendly and quick to fix my issue with the TV remote control. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. I would stay here again.

decent property, terrible maintenancePosted 8-Jun-2017 on Hotels
The room is basically sufficient, but the bathroom was filthy! I had to check in and immediately go out for the evening. If I had gone into the bathroom at check-in, I would have refused the room altogether. I took pictures of the hair and dirt in the corners of the bathroom and the fungus growing in the corners of the shower to show the front desk. They said they would show it to the housekeeping staff, but didn't offer to do anything for me. Breakfast was not good, and the staff person stood at the entrance barking orders at the patrons. I won't stay here again.
Good valuePosted 5-Jun-2017 on Hotels
Overall, the hotel met our needs. The good: The front desk staff was super friendly and the hotel was easy to find and in a good location. A/C worked well, bed was comfy, the pool was clean and place was quiet. Minor complaints: fridge did not get cold and door did not close easily, paint peeling on ceiling in bathroom and water leaks under shower door. Finally, found peanut shells on the floor near the window. Shows me housekeeping was in a hurry and room was not quality checked.

THE WORSTPosted 5-Jun-2017
Pros: Tina the breakfast room attendant, the size of the shower (no tub), the location was excellent for our purposes.
Cons: Clean rooms, staff who are not overwhelmed from complaints, cable TV that worked per the channel guide
Location: Very close to the Cooper River Bride and downtown Charleston. Patriot's Point is within walking distance.
We stayed at the hotel in Mt Pleasant SC for 5 days. Our room was only cleaned once despite our very polite complaints. We realized too late that the bedding had not been changed for our first night from the prior occupants when we saw a blood stain on the bedding near the foot of the bed the next morning! OMG. The front desk staff was shell shocked from the many other guest complaints. The breakfast room attendant Tina was a HUGE bright spot. The obviously cared about her work and had pride in what she did. Front desk night auditor Jeremy lied to us twice and hung up on me when I asked what his tasks were when he said he could not help with the room issues. I have not written a review before this trip but this hotel requires it!
