The parking area was off street with plenty of room for our car. The hosts responded instantly to any messages and kept in touch throughout our stay with updates that they needed to communicate.
Our family had a great quick trip to Charleston. The home was cozy and adorable. We were there for a college tour and the location was in close proximity to the college. We also appreciated off road parking.
The communication was excellent, and the stay was comfortable. It was located just outside all of the hustle and bustle, but still easily accessible to everything. We enjoyed our stay very much!
Relaxing and convenient location to walk in the historic areas of Charleston. Loved the coffee maker and delicious coffee provided! After being on the road for a week, the washer and dryer was very much appreciated! Will stay again when we come back!
Location was conveniently located, short walk to everything. Bed was very comfortable with hotel like bedding. Host was easily accessible and provided information throughout our stay. Definitely a great stay.
This was such a lovely stay! We adored the location and found the character of the building quite charming! Lots of space for us, comfortable, and great communication from the host!
The host made sure our stay was enjoyable by including thoughtful touches like toiletries, white noise machines in the bedrooms, and cute towel displays on each bed. The unit was full of the southern charm we were looking for.
This is a wonderful location with lots to do in the neighborhood. The house is just as pictured! The owners were very insightful and very helpful. I really enjoyed the on-property parking. We will definitely stay again!
We walked everywhere!!! Great location, safe for our Schnauzer, home was as depicted. We will definitely return next year for our annual HHI visit! Access to beach was a 7 minute walk to what felt like, a private area. Thank you for allowing our visit.
Located in a quiet section of Charleston near the Charleston medical school. Plenty of space for a family of four. Walking distance to shops and cafes and minutes to all of the various hot spots in Charleston. Close to North Charleston and Mt. Pleasant as well. We would stay here again.
Our rental was very clean and conveniently located with easy access to all of the Charleston hot spots. Property management had amazing communication as we were coming into town at the tail end of a hurricane and we wanted to make sure we could navigate any flooding to get to the property; happy to report we had zero issues thanks to us checking on the nearby streets for us.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It is in a historic home, so be prepared for slanty floors but lots of character. Most everything we needed was there. Beds were super comfy. The only con was that it could use some better lighting. The location is great - in the middle of a fun, funky neighborhood. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the porch on a nice afternoon. I would definitely stay here again.
It is perfectly suited to Charleston. Were it anywhere else, the fact that a floor isn't level would be a bummer, but not here. It is charming and guaranteed old. The apartment was clean, bright, & provided everything we needed! We love walking, so staying here & walking the mile or so to explore the historic district, French quarter, and everything in between was great for us. Property management was friendly & responsive.
This place was just what we were wanting when we were thinking of charm. The two bedrooms were spacious and the kitchen was fully stocked- the owners even supplied the coffee and filters too! There were also plenty of dishwasher pods to cleanup after we cooked dinner (we chose not to eat out at every meal to save money), as well as laundry pods. It was a trip we’ll never forget.
We booked this spot last minute based on location and budget. As mentioned in other posts, it’s dated but worked well for us since we mostly just slept there. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were very nice. Communication with management was top notch and they were extremely helpful. I prefer to have cable but watching Netflix was nice. I do wish there were instructions for the tv. Parking was nice to have as well.
We would stay here again!!
This is a very typical Charleston single house. Slanted floors and all. If you want the experience of that rather than all the comforts of home this a great little place with convenient off street parking for smaller vehicles. Communication with property manager was a bit clumsy. I had to write to request check in instructions and then didn’t receive the message indicating what they’d like us to do before checking out until after we had already left.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location
The unit is in a very run-down two story “single house” style home. The outside stairs and walkway are in need of repair. Paint peeling. Just an unfortunate first impression. Inside, the unit is clean. A tea kettle was provided (I had asked but was told I could bring my own). This would have been a nice touch, but the tea kettle has rust inside. I used a saucepan instead. The beds are comfortable, but nothing else is. There is no kitchen table to eat a meal. The living room furniture includes a small, stained sofa and two small chairs with no comfortable way to watch tv. The bathroom is clean and has the necessities. But toilet is so low to the ground. Very awkward. If you have knee problems, be careful! And you have to be very careful with uneven flooring, especially in the hall outside the bathroom which is lower than the bathroom floor or the living room and bedroom floors on either side of it, and the back bedroom floor slopes down to one side. Seems like an architectural hazard. The location was also very disappointing. It really is not convenient to walk to the most desirable parts of town. And driving on these very narrow streets is not for the faint of heart. Parking is very expensive, too. We did walk to Publix once which required traveling through littered, busy streets. It felt unsafe. As I mentioned, the beds are comfortable, and they provide white noise machines, but these are needed because there was a lot of street noise at times.
We enjoyed our stay at this house. Was perfect location for visiting family member at Hope Lodge and for going downtown or to the beach. Also loved the historic charm of the house.
