CASA LA TORRE in the small Umbrian village of Macerino

"Wunderbare Gastgeber, extrem freundlich, hilfsbereit und einfach liebenswert. Der Kuchen zum Empfang war sehr lecker. Das Haus ist geräumig, sehr gut ausgestattet, blitzsauber und schön eingerichtet. Auf der Dachterrasse haben wir viel Zeit verbracht. Macerino ist ein winziger Ort mit magischer Stimmung. Die Stille dort ist herrlich, absolut perfekt um dem Stress des Alltags zu entfliehen.Es lassen sich auch viele schöne Ziele in Umbrien von dort aus erreichen.Wir können dieses Feriendomizil sehr empfehlen und haben jetzt schon Sehnsucht, wieder auf dem Platz vor dem Haus zu sitzen und einfach nur zu sein....Vielen Dank und liebe Grüße"

"Das Haus ist eines der besten Häuser in der Gegend. Es gibt ein wunderschönes Grundstück mit Pool, die Zimmer und die Bäder sind gut eingerichtet. Auch die Küche ist hervorragend ausgestattet, dass auch ohne Probleme für größere Gruppen gelocht werden kann. Wenn wir wieder in diese Gegend reisen, werden wir gerne wiederkommen. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub!"

"We have had a really lovely stay at this house and we didn’t want to go home!The private pool is absolutely the best it could be. There are stunning views in all directions and it is 100% not overlooked. It was very warm (in August) and very clean. It is a depth of approximately 1.6 metres throughout except in the steps area. There are plenty of sun-loungers and shaded areas beside the pool if necessary. The table tennis and table football were great. The house is very well equipped with lots of cutlery, crockery, cups and glasses etc. There are many tables to choose to eat round. The dishwasher worked well. There are lots of chairs inside and outside. There is only one sofa upstairs and one downstairs. There is air conditioning in the 6 double rooms which kept them at a comfortable temperature. It didn’t take too long to work out how to use the handsets to best advantage.The fly screens throughout were good. The internet access was good. The phone signal was good enough when we needed it. We would certainly consider returning. We would have liked to see a folder with instructions on how to use equipment and with details of where supermarkets are and exactly how to sort the rubbish etc. The hosts welcomed us on arrival and were very pleasant and kind. They quickly arranged for an engineer to fix a problem when it arose and they kept us informed through the process. We were glad to have Google translate when we needed to communicate about more complicated issues!"

"This a really fabulous property and our holiday could not have been better. The host provided really helpful and useful information while planning the trip, and the property manager was always on-hand in case of issues. The house was impeccably clean and well-stocked, the facilities are first-class (especially the pool, pizza oven, bocce, table tennis - and those views!!), and little touches from the hosts - such as our gift basket on arrival, and a plentiful supply of beach towels - really made our stay very special. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday."

"Heel fijn verblijf gehad, contact met de eigenaar verliep prima. In de omgeving is niet ontzettend veel te doen, maar in de zomer is het ook heerlijk om rond dit huisje te relaxen. Het is schoon en echt alles wat je nodig hebt is er. Topplek!"

"Ein Traumurlaub in einer wunderbar restaurierten, geschmackvoll eingerichteten Unterkunft ! Es fehlt an nichts. Die Gastgeber sind äußerst nette, warmherzige Leute. Es gab nicht die geringsten Probleme und wenn es welche gegeben hätte, dann wären sie sicher im Handumdrehen erledigt worden. Der Ort Macerino selbst atmet Geschichte aus jedem Stein, ist sehr malerisch und liegt ziemlich isoliert, was wir als großes Privileg und angenehmen Umstand empfunden haben. Man hört keinen Verkehrslärm, nur die Natur (viele Singvögel !!) und das Glöckchen der kleinen Kirche nebenan. Die Zufahrt von Westen und Süden ist über asphaltierte und sehr kurvenreiche Strassen möglich, von Norden und Osten gibt es nicht asphaltierte Wege, die allerdings für einen normal geübten Fahrer und ein übliches Auto auch kein Problem darstellen. Man fährt allerdings stets so um die 15-20 Minuten ab der letzten Landstraße. Es gibt im Ort ein (vorzügliches) Restaurant, wo man allerdings vorbestellen sollte und ein Schwimmbad. Für Einkäufe sollte man nach Acquasparta, Terni oder Spoleto fahren. Die Gegend ist ein Wanderparadies, man läuft fast überall durch herrliche und relativ kühle Laubwälder. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder !"
