"La temperatura del agua de la alberca es caliente, muy agradable si estás acostumbrado. La limpieza de la cabaña no fué muy buena (pareciera que tenía mucho tiempo sin usar). El techo es de madera y tiene muchos orificios por dónde entran muchos insectos. No hay ventiladores ni aire acondicionado por lo que es necesario tener las ventanas abiertas pero al estar tan cerca de la carretera hay mucho ruido de camiones."

Frequently asked questions

What other neighbourhoods are similar to Centro Histórico?
While Centro Histórico is truly unique, for travellers seeking a similar blend of quality and convenience, the neighbourhoods of San Marcos and Las Américas offer comparable experiences in Aguascalientes.

San Marcos, located just west of Centro Histórico, is well-known for its elegant architecture and is home to the iconic San Marcos Fairgrounds, which hosts one of Mexico's most important annual events. The area around the Jardín de San Marcos is particularly pleasant, with its tree-lined paths and relaxed atmosphere. It's a great choice for those who appreciate beautiful surroundings and a slightly more relaxed pace than the very centre of town.

For visitors who enjoy a more modern setting with excellent amenities, Las Américas, situated to the north-west of the city centre, is a fantastic option. This neighbourhood is characterised by its newer developments, contemporary shopping centres, and a wide array of dining establishments.
When is the best time to go to Centro Histórico?
The best time to visit Centro Histórico, Aguascalientes, is during the dry season, from October to April, when you can enjoy pleasant weather and various cultural events.

During these months, the weather is generally sunny and mild, with lower humidity and very little rain. This makes it ideal for exploring the historic streets, plazas, and outdoor attractions like the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption and the beautiful Plaza Patria without the discomfort of heat or tropical downpours.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will particularly enjoy visiting in October or November, when the city hosts events such as the Festival de Calaveras, celebrating Day of the Dead with parades and artistic exhibitions. The cooler evenings are superb for dining al fresco or enjoying a leisurely stroll through the illuminated streets.

Families travelling with children will find the spring months, particularly March and April, very appealing. The weather is consistently warm but not overly hot, superb for visiting museums like the National Museum of Death or enjoying the family-friendly activities often found in the city's parks.
