The house is fine, mostly as advertised. I am very disappointed with the landlord though. First, we showed up and the hot water was shut off. It was an easy fix and normally I wouldn't mention it, but it was only the first sign of what was to come. There also wasn't any wood with the property, even though the listing advertised it. When I contacted the owner with these issues, It was clear that she was enjoying herself in the Caribbean and didn't care too much about our concerns. She was able to provide suggestions on how to turn the hot water system on, but her clues as to where the wood was proved useless. Again, these things didn't ruin the weekend, but in light of what happened next they seem pertinent.
After the weekend, the landlord withheld part of my security deposit claiming that we left the condo a mess. She claimed there was vomit left in a bathroom, grease all over the kitchen, and that it took her cleaning service almost an entire day to set the place right. This simply was not the case. Nobody vomited in the condo and we cleaned up any messes we made before we left. When I asked her to check her bill to make sure she was charging the correct unit (she owns multiple condos at Killington and over 20 in total) all I got was more crap about sailing around the Caribbean and no help.
