"Don't worry about the road condition (a bit pot holed and worn) or the slightly difficult to find hotel entrance, the stay was great. The room was large and immaculately clean. Though our limited Italian caused a few laughable glitches (or fault not the staff), the service could not have been better. The food was excellent and overly abundant. Die Apartments sind groß und wir hatten auch eine wunderschöne große Loggia, die wir sehr genossen haben. Allerdings sind die Apartments nicht besonders schön eingerichtet, und bei uns kam auch der Putz von der Schlafzimmerwand. Dafür fand ich das Doppelbett sehr bequem, allerdings waren die Schlafsofa selbst für die Kinder...

"Holiday residence is a farm that has been converted into a very pleasant place to stay. The rooms were comfortable. The staff were friendly and efficient. The grounds were lovely and the food was excellent, rustic fare. I would suggest staying here only if you have transport as it is a bit off the beaten path. However, the hotel does provide a reasonably priced taxi service."

"IL residence si trova nella pineta non vicino alla spiaggia se non si vuole attraversare pericolosamente i binari del treno. Ho trascorso due settimane. Niente WiFi (scusa: ho cambiato gestore! "I would give the service at this place 10 stars out of 5 if I could! We arrived at some random bus stop in the bottom of town because their main station is closed for remodeling, so I didn't really know where we were when I called the shuttle. Nino just asked me the name of the street & came to get us. By the next morning, we had fallen in love with the town and changed our itinerary for the rest of the trip to spend more time in Matera, but they didn't have space for us to stay longer. They called around and found us a place at another amazing hotel. When it was time to check out, they had it all arranged to simply simply transfer our bags and pick up new keys at the other hotel. As for the hotel itself, the rooms were huge, clean and very unique. Very cool hotel in an amazing town. "
