The stay at Wyndham started off bumpy, but Orlando saved the day. First room- the a/c sounded like a high powered vacuum. So Orlando was able to change my room. The rest of the stay was excellent. Staff is helpful. Best mojito in Cartagena is made on the 13th floor. Reasonable menu too. Uber from the Wyndham to any point of interest is most $3-$4 the most. Glad we selected this hotel.

Look for the price this place is very nice and very safe rooms are very. Lean and staff is very very friendly and will do there best to meet you needs within reason. The hotel pool / bar area is very nice drinks are a lil pricey but it’s a convince.

We came in really late last night and the first room we couldn’t open even though we had the key, the second room was used with towels on the ground and fog in the bathroom, and the third room was ok, there was hair and dust in the bathroom but more acceptable than the other two rooms. We also asked to check out later since we arrived at 11pm and would possibly need the room after our day excursion before our flight out and one guy said that we wouldn’t be charged and then another guy shoved in and rudely started yelling that no I’ll charge you for another night if you stay past 12:00pm (check out time). Bad customer service in the night but the front desk in the morning was pleasant and checked us out.

I arrived late afternoon from Medellin. I get up to the room 705 and the agent who checked me in gave me a room with double beds. I was in a rush and had to get in the walled city asap. So, I checked that I had paid for Superior room with 1 king bed and beach view. I had not received that service at all. I went downstairs and asked what had happened and another agent named Elkin said that I didn’t have that type of room. I pulled out my phone and showed him. No one accommodated me immediately. Instead he said to follow up next day, we did when we came back from our tour and he claimed why I didn’t do it earlier as if I had nothing to do. Well, that night before I couldn’t sleep from the street noise. It was a horrible experience. The bathrooms are built to basically not be able to open the shower prior to entering, the toilet doesn’t allow to open the door. Breakfast was okay but it can be improved.

The hotel was fantastic in and of itself. The daily breakfast included was tasty, the rooftop pool was gorgeous, and all the rooms were clean (and had some STRONG air conditioning, which was a godsend since every day was 90 degrees). It's also a 7-minute drive from the airport which is super convenient (although don't wait until the last minute to go since the airport takes quite some time to get through). Since it's outside the Walled City (Centro), it's not as upkept and, being along the highway, it's not very easy to walk anywhere aside from the beach. At night, you might see a few shady characters here or there, but nothing different than Centro. Side Note: STICK TO UBER FOR TRANSPORTATION. They are usually $2-3 USD per ride (yes, you read correctly) or $6-7 US for a higher end ride. The local yellow cabs are plentiful and will go to any length to get your business, but they often will try to get your attention by any means and then quote you a price higher than an Uber. (They don't have meters or set pricing schemes like a typical taxi fleet)

todo fue mas de lo que esperaba, delicioso el desayuno, el staff amable y calidos, la locacion es muy buena, desde mi balcon podia ver la ciudad y la playa, un espectaculo gratis de cartageneros ensayando champeta en el parque que esta al cruzar la calle, simplemente inolvidable, volveria a cartagena y a este hotel siempre <3 tienen mi corazon! EL HOTEL SI TIENE ASCENSOR , yo habia visto un review que decia que no tenia, la unica sugerencia que podria dar es que incluyan plancha para la ropa en los cuartos. por todo lo demas, exelente! gracias por todo!

Hotel is in Crespo neighborhood- close to airport but short uber/taxi ride to El Centro. Hotel was clean - breakfast, food and drinks great. Staff was super friendly and accommodating.

The property was clean. Restaurant food was good. Also other restaurants nearby with amazing food but very noisy area. Dirty all around and what I’m assuming were local people, they will stare you down and try to sell you stuff. Outside of the hotel was scary, uncomfortable. But at the hotel, we felt safe. The staff were very nice, helpful.
