![Bigar waterfall in Romania is definitely a hidden gem. It's quite small and perhaps not as impressive as some of the larger waterfalls but its setting in the lush forest makes it just as magical. Worth a visit for sure! « Great place to stay while visiting Bran and Zarnesti. Staff were incredibly friendly, and took very good care of us. Even played me and my friend off, as we left, with our new favorite Romanian song, “Lady” by Sandy Ciorba… which we had been dancing to out on the balcony :) Food was also excellent, and the lamb stew with polenta was one of the best dishes I had in Romania. Getting in the driveway to park is a bit of a pain, but we did finally make it. Trick was to swing wide and to turn in...

« Lovely place, just off a main road so a handy break in my trip from Poprad Tatry Airport to Hlinne. Staff were friendly and helpful - and they spoke English, which was a definite advantage for me. They also have English menus. My previous stay, somewhere with no English menus or speakers, wasn't pleasant, but this stay was. Before anyone comments. I was in their country so they didn't have to speak English or have English menus - but it helps. »

« It was a very short visit, for work reasons. After an unexpected cancellation of a hotel reservation in Martin, I chose Pension Rosnicka instead. I don't regret it at all. Pension Rosnicka gives you the feeling of being in Switzerland, surrounded by mountains, with a sufficiently large pool cleaned with organic algae which really fulfills its function perfectly. I work in film production, so I visit dozens of hotels every year, but this pension has a family atmosphere. We felt really good there. »

« This is a very quaint and beautiful hotel. The person at reception was very friendly and helpful. We stayed next door to the main building. Our unit was cozy, clean and quiet with beautiful decor. Food and staff at the restaurant were exceptional. Breakfast buffet outstanding. Hotel situated in the heart of the wine valley yet not far from the city center. We were able to hop on the little tourist train across the street to the hotel to get to the main sights in town.We wish we had more time...
