"The short version of this review: Paradise at a pleasing price! Our stay at Gatun Lake Lodge was wonderful! Pierre, our host, was entertaining, accommodating, competent, and charming! And, the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Every meal was fresh and delicious. Our cabaña was very bright, comfortable, and clean. The pool was crystal clear and at the perfect temperature. "La Loma was a beautiful escape into the jungle. The accommodations and public area were beautiful. Our host, Juan, was amazing! We enjoyed sharing meals with other visitors and our tour of the property with Mr. Kelly. Sleeping amidst the jungle overnight was a magical experience. Overall, a wonderful stay and would recommend!"

"When I arrived to check in, I could not find anyone. Fortunately, a dog came and found me and me and led me to someone who checked me in. I reserved a room with a fireplace but was told that if I wanted a fireplace, I would have to pay extra. Room was very cramped and always cold. Water eventually ran hot but in a limited supply. Dining room options were limited but the food was good. Loved the balcony porch overlooking the garden. Very friendly dogs"
