This hotel treated me badly, since the conditions are terrible, they charged me for the expensive services, we only went to sleep, the bathroom did not discharge, the water for cold baths not hot, mosquitoes, genes and spiders inside the room and little security on the balcony doors and around a lot of dust and dirt were in other buildings

The property is ok, if you have no choice. The frontdesk is funny because I tried to borrow the telephone and she said “you have to pay me” and she asked for 25 cents. Our beach towel were left in the room during our check out, because it’s big and damp, without realizing that we have to bring back to front desk. They don’t believe we left in our room so I go back to our room to get those towels. We’ll, I know this is not 5 star but still the hotel need updates, exercise cleanliness and etiquette to the guests.

Overall we spent 17 days in Cuba, 13 of them we stayed in local “casa particularis”’s and 4 in this wonderful hotel in Varadero. Just to start with - it was a truly wonderful real Cuba experience, everything you could read in the blogs and webpages about Cuba - that happened in this hotel! To start with - check in to our hotel room lasted 1,5 hours! Waiting in line with understaffed hotel reception. Secondly, we did not have hot water for two days, in third day a splash on warm water came from the shower! Super! Third, the lines, oh the lines everywhere... hotel supposed to have 5 bars. One of them was working. The others... maybe 2-4 hours a day, and they were missing most of the drinks, ice etc. Only one main lobby bar was working... well... once the barman was so drunk he couldn’t get what or where is is, took him 25 minutes to screw a screwdriver... True Cuban experience... Love it! At dinner time there were 3 drink options available - beer, coke, sprite-like-drink... oh, at first there was some rosé wine (vintage of 2000) as well... :) In the rooms - there were no electric bulbs. We became friends with Mr. Vladimir. He had spent a week in this hotel with no electricity in his room. Just a TV light. What a wonderful romantic light he had in his room. Authenticity to Cuba in this hotel is so remarkable! Amazing!

After 6pm there is only one bar with one person making drinks, the hotel is 90% Russians so every night that bar was taken over by terrible music and obviously rude people. Facilities aren’t great, most of the tiles in and around the pool were broken, rooms were basic back in the 60’s and still the same today, in need of serious decorating and updating. I have a strong understanding of the catering industry and could smell the worst place for me was the buffet room, the smell in there put me off my food before I began. Would not recommend I’m afraid.

The hotel is not of good standard or value for money.. Room was extremely damp and strong smell of mould. Food was absolutely awfull. Room was not cleaned daily.. Tables were not cleaned in restaurant. Lack of cutlery etc. Would not recommend. Only good thing was it was close to the beach.

Great for a one night stay.
I did not do the whole all inclusive package. So I only stayed there for one night. It was very cheap and it did the trick. Would I go there for one week ? NO. Room was basic, I had hot water. Buffet wasn’t good but that’s to be expected in Cuba. I did think that the food was below “Cuban Food Standards”. One pool wasn’t working (no water in it) and the pool bar isn’t open because it’s in the non-working pool. Service was great though.

Very disappointed. The room was dirty, in the bathroom I found poopoo on the wall. I spoke at the reception and they changed my room. Very dirty place, and buffet was terrible, was dirty and the smell inside was disgusting. I don’t recommend at all this hotel. For the amount of money I paid I expected to be better. Don’t go there .

Segunda estancia en el hotel, y no ha mejorado, al contrario, la experiencia fue en esta ocasión más desalentadora. Poco personal y no muy amable. La discoteca Havana Club ya no esta incluida con la estancia en el hotel. Restaurantes u habitaciones con olor poco agradable y sin suficiente ventilación. A/A de habitaciones deficientes. WiFi disponible solo en recepción.

Worst hotel and service I have ever experienced in my entire life , we are so disappointed , we are never going here again , broken furniture, dirty utensils, when we asked for water they don’t have cups, terrible customer service, spend a lot of money, this place is complete hole. Please do not stay at this hotel. El peor hotel donde me he quedado y donde se puedan quedar, demasiado caro para no cumplir con las expectativas de los clientes, restaurante sucio, hotel sucio, no te cambian las sábanas ni las toallas, tienes que estar detrás de ellos para que te hagan el servicio de habitación y cuando lo hacen es con mala actitud, cuando pides un vaso con agua o un jugo para tomar te dicen que no tienen vaso y te tratan como si no fueras nadie, quizás cuando lean este review dirán que estoy exagerando pero esta ha sido la peor experiencia de mi vida y muchísimo dinero que invertí. Fui a pasar unas vacaciones con toda la familia y lo que hicimos fue disgustarnos por lo pésimo de ese hotel en todos los aspectos, no se guíen por las fotos tampoco porque nada es cierto los review en los que han dado 5 estrellas eso es falso, los dieron las mismas personas del hotel quizás pero es una mentira.

It was close to the beach. Had to reuse the cups at a resort which is something I was not use to. I thought there would be more drink selections. Our rooms smelled like mold and the AC was off.

Travelocity needs to sever its business relationship with this hotel immediately, they are putting their customers well being on jeopardy by selling this property to their clients, and all for a buck. I work in hotels myself and have never experienced the level of disgust.

The hotel is ok, the best part of it is that everything is included and that it is close to the beach. It failed with cleanliness and confort, the bed sheats and towels look dirty, the closet was a bit dusty, I hope that that had been different since we had our baby girl with us. Anyways, it was ok for the price, we loved the beach and the restaurant at the beach which was better than the one at the hotel.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Do not visit The rooms destroyed with humidity and without light bulbs. The sheets and towels very dirty and with bad. The sugary bath. The best pool did not work. The food poorly prepared and bad taste without salt. The hotel is a shame.

my wife & i had to check out early aug 31 due to had to climb 4 floors due to NO elevators working 2.bed was very old mattress worn out thin 3.the grounds needing lots repair 4. they disregrad my request better lower fl rm. look into geting me cerit for checking early. can call 386 405 7055 we stay in hotels around the world that one was one on top of the list THE WORSE

This was the worst experience ever! Cubans call this type of hotel Campismo... On check in day, the smell of paint in my room as I walked in made my chest tight. I then complained, they allowed me to see two other rooms to pick from, we had to move our luggage around, no help, no apology. Moving on.... you get 1 bottle of water when you arrive.. we never received it.. I complained and asked for the water, it was denied. I was told it would be delivered next day from 8 to 6... we got nothing! I complained again and was told it would be delivered that evening... I’m still waiting. The pool was disgusting... the food was horrible, scrambled eggs were swimming in liquid... not sure why... sheets and towels stained....STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

Not good not bad
No hot water at the room in the first night. You have to be lucky with the service: very good service or very bad service. The room was not ready at the check-in time but they don´t tell you that you have to leave at the check out time.

Palma Real du 10 au 15 mars 2020 voyage correct...
Grande déception pour cet hôtel, 4ieme visite et dernière, ils ont beaucoup de laisser aller sur l'entretien, la piscine, les chambres et la nourriture... malgré une nouvelle espace de spectacle vraiment très bien, et la rénovation des toilettes de la réception, on a l'impression qu'ils ne veulent pas avoir de bonnes critiques... et pour le prix que j'ai payé pour 5 jours sans avion, mais complètement dépassé par rapports au prix que mes amis ont payé pour 1 semaine avec l'avion...!!!

El personal brinda buena atención en general aunque el hotel esta muy descuidado, no tienen los insumos adecuados, la comida es muy mala y cuando solicitas una plancha o algo no sirve no te dan solución, hay que cruzar la avenida para ir a la playa, no lo recomiendo, los locales nos dijeron que hay mejores opciones por el mismo costo
