An excellent hotel!
This hotel is absolutely perfect for a trip to Capri. Excellent location, about a 5 minute or less walk to the main area of shops and restaurants. The pool area is beautiful and there are plenty of beds, chairs and umbrellas. You also get fresh towels to use at the pool at reception each day. The rooms were exceptional, free water in the minibar, clean towels daily and a turn down service at nightime before coming home. Breakfast was lovely each morning, nice patio area outside. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The manager was helpful to answer any queries and any staff met during the day always said hello. The best way to get there from the port is to use the baggage transport service, €12 one way and your bag goes straight to the hotel. You can easily then get the funiculare up to the Piazza and walk. A taxi cost €25 and took a while to get one. Cars can only go to the edge of the main centre and then you need to walk anyway. Would absolutely recommended Hotel Canasta to anyone visiting Capri.

We loved Hotel Canasta
We loved our stay at Hotel Canasta. It was very conveniently located in Capri, right in the center of the shopping district, but far enough away from the venicular so as not to be too noisy. Customer service was top notch as they coordinated every part of our stay, including the porter service for our luggage to/from our ferry, going so far as to even make sure our luggage was placed on our departing ferry. The grounds were very nice and offered a lovely pool to relax by after a day of sightseeing (although the water was a bit cold in May). The real gem, however, is their breakfast. Francesca is their secret weapon surprising us with fresh, delectable treats every morning. Her tiramisu is the best in Italy and her coffee cakes are indescribable. We wanted to adopt her. They also offered a wide variety of other breakfast options that satisfied every pallet. When in Capri, definitely look into staying at Hotel Canasta. You will enjoy it.

Clean and Adorable!
Very pretty place, perfect little breakfast, and nice pool. Good location. The hotel smells SO CLEAN ALL THE TIME. Not a fan of them collecting and holding your room key as you come and go, but oh well. We requested two beds and it was not prepared like that, but they fixed it right away. Along with the AC, it was not working upon arrival, but very quick fix. Worth the money, would stay again.

Nice pool. Wi-fi did not work in our room entire time. Extremely small room. Good breakfast. Nice front desk people, helpful but not helpful at all with making reservations/arrangements. Great location if you want to be the small fish in the big pond neighborhood (upscale Tragara).

When arrived it was a beautiful hotel they were kind people breakfast was simple and good room was clean great size. They recommended a boat ride company which I definitely will not take again laser Capri was suppose to go to the blue grotto and the company failed to bring us inside but that’s besides the hotel just was there recommendation. Overall hotel was very very close to everything. Beautiful clean hotel

Aamzing stay
We stayed 4 night at the Hotel Canasta and have been very happy with our choice. The location is central and short walk downhill form the Piazzetta. The property is very well kept. Our room was airy, cleaned twice daily and had a great ETRO shampoo collection in the bathroom. We had a very limited view from our room terrace, however it was compensated with a distant see views form the pool area and also roof tops of the Certosa di San Giacomo monastery. Btw, I would highly recommend to visit this place as the spaces are beautiful and make sure to visit the garden with amazing I Faraglioni views. Best 6 Euros ever spent! Hotel breakfast had a very good coffee, fresh orange juice, fruits, cakes, cheeses and some meat. The restaurant next door Villa Margarita is a bit pricey but totally worth it. We just found too many waiters serving, so they ended up chatting with each other, although they were very professional. The food and atmosphere was fantastic, would gladly go there again on our next trip to Capri. The only disappointment was an afternoon by the pool when 3 unattended kids ( one of them was of the owner, I think ) kept jumping and splashing for quite some time. We could see that other guests didn't enjoyed it too, however no one said anything. Overall, its a great place to stay in Capri, will be back !

Great location
The hotel was beautiful and in a fantastic location, we stayed for 3 nights and had a brilliant time. Unfortunately the safe didn't work in the room however the manager looked after our valuables for us in the main hotel safe.

Everything was wonderful - however we felt some of the front desk staff were a little ‘snooty’. This did not impede our enjoyment, however. The hotel is fantastic. Highly recommended. Interaction with front desk staff is minimal.

Wow, What a View and Great Place To Stay!
We traveled Italy and stayed at many beautiful places, but Hotel Canasta was our favorite for the incredible view, beautiful accommodations and hospitality of the owners. A delightful breakfast and good service. I highly recommend this lovely hotel

Very good hotel, nice helpful staff, good breakfast in a beautiful setting, great amenities. It would have been perfect if it hadn’t been so difficult getting there. Maybe it was because it was out if season (November) but no cars could get there. We are not young and it was hard for us carrying our luggage for a quarter of a mile uphill on cobblestones. Fortunately when we left the hotel had our suitcase carried to the taxi stop (we walked which is not a problem). Still worth it.

Lovely hotel!
Was a bit skeptical about the hotel after booking and before arriving because of the recent reviews. However, my 2 night stay at Canasta turned out to be lovely! The room was homey and the use of tiles added that Italian touch. Lovely! Hotel staff were also very helpful, especially when we were trying to find out details about going to the Blue Grotto. Hotel was of a walkable distance from the plaza and shops, convenient. It’s about a 20 minute walk (uphill) from the pier but it’s manageable for us. Can always take the cable car/bus/taxi if you don’t feel like hiking up the hill :) Would recommend this hotel!

Nice hotel close to all the shops and restaurants but just off the main path enough for a much more quiet atmosphere. The staff was very helpful with anything we needed and answered all of our questions about getting arpund the island.

Luxurious and pampering. Lovely small hotel in very central location but quiet, great breakfast, lovely design. The hotel looks brand new (though it's isn't) everything is very well maintained. Nice pool and view. We loved it!

Don’t go to this hotel if you are looking for service and staff to be nice to you. It is by far the hotel with rudest staff, as soon as we checked in we were barely welcomed in the hotel. The manager / owner of the hotel will make you feel as unwecolmed as possible and anything you ask him, he will do it but with a face. It’s a good location and nice breakfast but the overall service and experience of the stay ruins this hotel.

Quiet seclusion, just off the main boulevard
We were extremely happy with this selection. This was just off the main boulevard and we were only steps away from our event. Worked out great. Breakfast was great and they went the extra step with each service. The glazed tile pool was amazing and lots of layout space n the sun but with privacy. Our room had a great view from the balcony and we spent several hours hanging out in our room on the patio which is rare. The owner was on site behind the desk and made sure our stay was excellent and memorable with his local knowledge and took care of our transfers with a quick call or two each time. But, the gem that no one tells you about is the restaurant next door. Margarita is owned by the same people and it was by far the best meal I had in Capri. Tomatoes picked from the garden that morning and ravioli that was hand made from scratch for my meal. Amazing! Normally I’m not excited about the hotel restaurant but please don’t miss this amazing food, it was hands down better than all the fancy and expensive meals we had. I’m still thinking about how great it was as I travel around the rest of Italy.

Lovely Boutique Hotel - Great Location
Great location in the centre of Capri a 5-10minutes walk to the main square and cable car, nice rooms, lovely pool area and nice breakfast. We would definitely stay again.
