Only the wooden dock / boat lift were damaged. They are currently unusable and boat storage is not possible. However this only affects guests who plan on bringing their own boat or renting a boat multiple days and storing it overnight. Otherwise the house is exactly as advertised prior to the storm and available as it was. \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\* Casa Del Rio is a riverfront, luxuriously appointed vacation home, that feels more like a tropical resort. The water views are stunning and unparalleled. It is situated on a huge lot overlooking the massive Caloosahatchee river and expansive bridge connecting Cape Coral to Ft Myers. It has 80 ft of seawall right on the river and its own private heated pool and dock. It has been recently remodeled and boasts many upgraded amenities as well as water / pool views from almost every room. The back wall of the house is entirely composed of large sliding glass doors with access to the pool and can be opened bringing the outdoors inside. In addition, there is a large sun deck overlooking both the pool and dock, perfect for sunbathing or dining al fresco while watching the sunset light up the water. The kitchen has Corian countertops, with all new stainless steel appliances, including a gourmet wall oven and cooktop. There is plenty of counter / bar space for buffet style meals and entertaining. In addition, there is a separate dining area overlooking the pool and river. Right off the kitchen is pub style bar area also overlooking the pool and river which has bar furniture that can used indoors or out. There is even a wine fridge next to the bar where you can bring and store your own vintage or bubbly. One of the bedrooms is a master suite with its own en suite bath. The large master bath is extremely luxurious with a 4 foot glassed in shower and elegant double vanity. The other two guest bedrooms are spacious and located conveniently adjacent to the guest bath. The river and pool can be seen from all living areas of the house. The living room has comfy sofas, one of which pulls out for guests not wishing to sleep together. There are 3 Flat Screen TVs, cable, and wifi for indoor entertainment. You can watch the game or entertain in the bar area, while the kids watch movies in the living room, without being interrupted. The patio area by the pool includes lounge chairs for relaxing as well as wicker chairs and a sitting area for congregating. There is a large sundeck on the bank of the river with plenty of space for relaxing or entertaining. There is a Kitchen Aid 4 burner stainless steel built in BBQ and sink for some serious grilling while enjoying those amazing views. The dock has a 12,000 pound lift and can easily store even a very large boat, if you choose to bring or rent one. It has direct river and gulf access within easy reach of local beaches and watering holes on Sanibel Island, Ft. This property was the perfect place for us as we visited friends and family in the area. The weather was great for spending lots of time in the pool and just seeing the sights of the river, including the constant stream of boat traffic and lovely sunrises! The house is well maintained and had everything we needed. It also was central to many stores and restaurants. Dealing with Paul was wonderful - he was helpful and always got back to us promptly. We really enjoyed our stay. The home is beautiful and has everything we needed! The location is in a very nice Neighborhood. Very clean and quite. Also the neighbors were very helpful and friendly. The House is very well equipped and has everything you need. We all really enjoyed our stay and had good times at the huge pool with a awesome view. This lovely vacation home completely exceeded our expectations!! Our family (2 adults, 3 children) loved the location (right on the water) and the large pool! The house was much bigger than it seemed in the pictures. The furniture and beds were extremely comfortable and plush. We loved the open floor plan and the amazing views! Get up early and enjoy the gorgeous sunset with your morning coffee!! The location is private yet close to stores, restaurants and beaches. Paul, the owner, went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our trip. He was extremely friendly and helpful. Rich, the property manager, was also very kind and made our check-in and check-out extremely simple. The house was well-stocked and had everything we needed, including beach towels and pool toys. We were there during an extremely hot week, so the air struggled to keep up. We ran out of toilet paper and paper towels, so keep that in mind. Pool needs some TLC, but it didn't stop our 8 years old from enjoying every moment in the water. Richard was awesome and we enjoyed chatting with him. Having the lift to get our boat out of the water and cleaned up each evening was very helpful. Public boat ramp is very close to the house. We were able to basically live on the water the entire week, plenty of good restaurants out on the islands to visit for lunch, and plenty of great fishing in Pine Island Sound, Captiva Pass, and Redfish Pass to keep us entertained.
