#### Be a scientist for the day at this fascinating museum, which aims to educate and entertain visitors with its annually changing exhibitions.

Depending on when you visit Cap Sciences, you could be walking with dinosaurs, floating through space or entering a virtual reality. Engage with some of the most fun aspects of science through the interactive exhibits. The displays change yearly, so there is always something new to see. A year-round calendar of workshops and events helps children to start thinking scientifically.

Step into the futuristic building, which is located on Bordeaux's trendy quay. The huge warehouse houses a sleek interior featuring annually changing exhibits. Previous topics that have been covered here include video games and dinosaurs the latter exhibition even featured an animatronic Tyrannosaurus rex. The museum embraces modern technology, using simulators and virtual reality goggles to immerse visitors in the experience.

Take your kids to special classes designed to encourage them to engage with science. The Cap Sciences Junior workshops let children dabble in chemistry, engineering and electronics during supervised activity sessions. Cook up something tasty in the Arthur workshops, which teach kids basic kitchen techniques. The classes are all in French, so kids can practice their language skills while they learn and play.

In October every year, the museum takes part in the Festival of Science, a celebration of scientific discovery and progress. Films, seminars and exhibits are available for free over the course of a week. Visit a laboratory or watch a demonstration of chemistry in action as part of an engaging calendar of events.

The museum is open every day during spring school vacation, but closed Mondays at other times during the year. It is well served by public transportation. Regular buses and trams travel to the nearby stop at Bassins a Flot. Exhibitions at Cap Sciences are individually priced. Purchase combination tickets, allowing enjoyment of all the museum’s offerings.

My room was a bit dirty (walls and side tables). My air conditioner did not work either. It was extremely noisy and not from the outside but other guests. I really wanted to love this place due to its convenience to the train station but it just didn’t do it for me.

Staff was very courteous. Hotel is very clean and comfortable although the room is quite small. The main issue has to do with finding the boutique hotel in a small street and parking, even temporarily, to unload your car. The hotel parking is an extra charge but, it is quite a walk from the hotel. If I had travelled without a car, I probably would not have been inconvenienced as much. But, as I said the room was very clean and staff very helpful.
