"We love love LOVED our stay here!!! Just thinking about our time here makes me want to be back in Costa Rica!! I thought it might not be our kind of place - and I also didn't realise the Corcovado day trip boats could pick you up from there - but I chose to spend a couple of nights there so that we'd be half-way along the Drake Bay Trail. But it actually turned out to be one of our favourite stays in Costa rica (and we traveled the country for a month!). Firstly, it was right on a beautiful...

"Great location, locally owned and very good service. No hot water"

"Helpful staff, clean rooms, great price for lodging and tours. "

"It was a beautiful place to stay right on the beach with the sound of the waves crashing and the birds chirping. Very close to restaurants and all of the tours and the host was awesome and very accommodating! Highly recommend!"

"What a stunning spot! Absolutely beautiful property with beautifully furnished rooms. We extended our stay because how nice this place was!"

"We really enjoyed our stay here! We were up in one of the rooms on the hill which had amazing views of the bay as well as great opportunities for birdwatching. The room itself was super clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great proximity to the nature trail as well! We would stay again for sure."

"a family business very attentive to our needs lovely people "

"Everything about our stay was great and staff recommended some great tours. "

"The stay here was amazing, clean rooms, great views, staff was fantastic, food was good, it was a great place to be busy if you want and to relax as well. "

"Really great staff who really know the area and cultivate the farm. They can give you information on ecology you won't find outside of guided tour groups in the park, and there's also yoga. The property is beautiful and it is easy to see birds. It is a pretty primitive property and so you should be expecting bug bites and no modern comforts. Bathing in rainwater is amazing, but it is also not warm. Also the ants really bite- I was itchy for a week afterward. So be careful. "

"Owners are very accommodating and lovely people/)"

"Everything about Drake Bay Getaway was excellent. The view from the room was stunning. The room itself was perfect with a balcony to sit and enjoy the view. The restaurants food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were extremely helpful and nice. I would stay here again and again. I liked it so much I extended my stay."

"Amazing setting beautiful sunsets great food/ great staff !!! Access to an Amazing beach can’t say enough about this place fantastic!!!!!"

"The choices for breakfast were great since it had something for everyone, while the pool was a great recovery location after hiking along the paths in and around Corcovado national park!"

"Very nice spot, free breakfast and coffee, good ac and views, nice beach, all i can ask for"

"Good news? Jason genuinely tries to make your stay pleasant and breakfast was good. But... This hotel is NOT near the beach or trailhead as stated when we booked on Hotels.com (hopefully this will be corrected), in fact it will cost you 10,000cr ($16+ USD) round trip for a taxi if you don't have your own vehicle - if you do, it needs to be a 4X4 as the road is steep, rough, unpaved, and has a river crossing. When I pointed out we'd been mislead by the info, and had made our reservation based...
