Car parking is under a separate building requiring access through boom gates, then garage door, then out through 3 security doors and walk through a courtyard and another security door to enter Peppers. Parts of the hotel need refurb. Our headboard was synthetic leather which is crumbling after years of wear. Cleanliness in the restaurant not the best, a piece of cabooses spent 3 days on the floor and was still there when we left. Photo attached. No chef on our final day for breakfast but we did receive a refund after having to request same. Good location. Staff are very good. Surprisingly, within the block are a pastry shop, a wine bar, cineplex, other hotel with other restaurant and bar. A great restaurant, Rebel Rebel, is only half a block away. The hotel restaurant has good food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Rooms are a bit on the small side, but definitely adequate. The restaurant is on site and the food was excellent but a tad expensive. The Sunday menu is limited but still there was plenty of options. The area they leave open for Sunday dining needs renovations it was really unappealing and incongruent with the food seved. The hotel room was quiet until bed time and the heating system was loud, im a light sleeper, so wasn't good for a restful night. Breakfast was well it was a continental one so dont expected much but was great, parking was well had to park on the street but ive been finding this no matter were ive stayed in Canberra which sucks.
