"We had a great time staying at this property. Its located in a great location. Close enough to allow easy access to the area. Close to the entrance of Yosemite and close enough to Oakhurst. We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed over spring break. This year we reached the tail end of the snow. The owners made sure the driveway was plowed so we could get in and out around without problems. There is plenty to do if you get snowed in. We brought our four legged family members and they loved the...

"The room was lovely -spacious, clean, nice decor, comfortable beds. The host was responsive and helpful. The location is quiet, nestled in a beautiful mountain setting in the Sierras. The lady who works at the General Store was very helpful in letting is use her phone when we learned Verizon does not have service up there. The lodge, which is a separate building from the rooms and is closed, is a marvelous piece of mountain architecture that offers beautiful grounds and a Frederick Remington...

Sequoia Lodge

Kernville

10/10 Excellent

Given the amount of empty units in town in January was surprised at the terrible prices for rooms but seems they would rather be empty than make a buck. Booking online garnered a better price but at the motel they insisted the room I wanted (lots of windows) qualified for more despite there being nothing on line about this. Thought that was petty given the place was pretty much empty. Anyways the room is charmingly decorated/presented and we had a nice view of the river. Wanted something with...

8/10 Good

The bed was comfortable and the rooms clean. The pool looked inviting but the weather was not conducive to swimming. The staff were friendly and helpful. We found it difficult to keep the room warm, the door was loose and didn’t close tightly so we put our suitcases against it to hold it tight. My husband fixed the door knob of the bathroom as it was almost off. I would have liked a stopper in the bathroom sink. Perhaps a regular check of the rooms would help to find any problems and make...

10/10 Excellent

A 10/10 experience from start to finish. Was one of those places that somehow exceeds the photos, and we left already talking about when we could come back. The highlight for us was swimming in the freshwater canyons nearby, genuinely one of the most fun afternoons we’ve had on any trip. Cool, clear water, gorgeous scenery, and the kind of thing you just don’t get at a typical hotel. We also saw a ton of wildlife around the property, which made every walk feel like a small adventure. Then at...
