11. CHARACTERFUL VILLA WITH GARDEN ON THE SEAFRONT, direct beach access

Hermanville-sur-Mer

"This is a charming property with great potential for larger groups and ideally located. However, the property unfortunately isn't treated as it deserves to be. It lacks central heating and the two bathrooms date back to the 1960's. The kitchen is well equipped and matrasses are all new, the living room is very very basic. The garden isn't well kept either with bushes obstructing the sea view. We nonetheless had a great time, but won't be returning."

"Hébergement très bien situé par rapport à la mer, par contre c’est très bruyant , il n’y a pas d’escalier intérieur , obligation de passer par l’extérieur . Il est possible de coucher à 11 personnes par contre impossible de vivre à 11 . L’idéal c’est 6 adultes et 2 enfants qui ne partageront pas les repas avec les adultes . L’équipement est très léger , pas assez de porte manteaux , pas assez d’équipement basique pour la cuisine."

Top Calvados Hotel Reviews

Churchill Hotel Bayeux Centre

10/10 Excellent

"Great location and wonderful staff to boot. Several nice restaurants in immediate area. .Don't miss breakfast. Very quiet."

Sure Hotel by Best Western Caen Mémorial

8/10 Good

"Staff on check in and check out were great. The room were almost fully clean, just some hard to reach spots were missed. They were very large and open compared to our previous hotel in central Paris. The bathrooms were a good size, although the dispensers for handwash and shampoo were flimsy and didn’t really give you anything"

Stay at an Upscale Villa in Calvados

One of the most important parts of planning a vacation is deciding where you're going to stay. Usually, no matter where you go, there will always be a hotel, resort, or motel. But when you stay in Calvados, you have the opportunity to upgrade from the typical trip and try something new: your very own private villa. You could have a lawn, kitchen, bar, lounge area, and pool all to yourself, rather than sharing a public resort area with all the other visitors. We are here to help you make the most of your getaway, so go on, make yourself at home. Wouldn't it be more relaxing to sprawl across a large comfy couch or sip a drink poolside anywhere you want?
