This welcoming villa with a fantastic terrace, decorated to provide maximum comfort and make you feel at home, is the perfect retreat to relax and explore the wonders of Madeira Island.

Ideal for families or groups, the house features a bright open-plan living and dining area. The living room is equipped with a spacious sofa with chaise longue, perfect for unwinding and watching a film on the flat-screen TV after a day of sightseeing.

The modern kitchen, featuring light tones, is fully equipped and ideal for preparing all your meals. In addition to the essential crockery and utensils, it has a fridge, hob, built-in oven, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and even a practical washing machine to help with daily needs.

The spacious outdoor terrace is the great highlight of the property! With stunning views over the hillside and the ocean, this outdoor space has a dining table and comfortable outdoor sofas. It is the idyllic setting to gather the family, share peaceful dinners under the stars or simply soak up the radiant sunshine during the day.

The house has three bedrooms, two of which have double beds and are harmoniously decorated. Please note that these two bedrooms are interconnected and not fully independent — although they have a door separating them, access to one of the bedrooms or to the living room always requires passing through the other bedroom.

The third bedroom offers complete privacy, but access is only via the exterior. This versatile space has a single bed that easily extends to a double, and benefits from its own private bathroom.

The bathrooms have all the amenities, including towels and toiletries for your convenience, and are all equipped with showers.

The space is always professionally cleaned.

Please note that the accommodation is located on a traditional footpath (vereda), so part of the route to the property is pedestrian only (approximately 20 metres).

Located on the peaceful Vereda Serrado, in the stunning Arco da Calheta, this accommodation is the perfect retreat for those seeking the authentic essence of Madeira Island. The energy of this neighbourhood is defined by unparalleled serenity: nestled in an amphitheatre-shaped valley and blessed with the sunniest and mildest climate on the island, the area invites relaxing walks. Here, you can stroll along traditional footpaths lined with banana trees and agricultural terraces, breathing in the sea breeze and enjoying endless views over the Atlantic Ocean. It is the ideal place to slow down and reconnect with nature.

Just a few minutes by car, you will have access to some of the main tourist attractions on the south coast. You can relax on the calm waters of Calheta Beach (one of the island's rare sandy beaches), stroll around the vibrant Calheta Marina or visit MUDAS – Museum of Contemporary Art. For hiking enthusiasts, this is an excellent base: it is very close to the ascents to the Paul da Serra plateau and to the magical Rabaçal, where iconic trails such as the Levada das 25 Fontes begin.

Despite being an authentic oasis of tranquillity in the south of the island, the location allows you to explore the contrasts of Madeira with great ease. A stunning panoramic drive of around 45 to 50 minutes, crossing the mountains to the north coast, will bring you to the charming parish of Ponta Delgada. Additionally, the cosmopolitan capital, Funchal, is just 35 minutes away, offering quick access to the historic centre, traditional markets and excellent gastronomy. It is the perfect starting point for experiencing the very best that the 'Pearl of the Atlantic' has to offer!

The property is located on Vereda Serrado, in Arco da Calheta, on the south coast of Madeira — a peaceful and green area, surrounded by nature and with views over the sea.

A car is the most practical way to explore Madeira. We strongly recommend renting a car to make the most of the island. Arco da Calheta is approximately 40 to 50 minutes by car from Funchal, via the Via Expresso (VR1).

There are public Rodoeste buses serving the Calheta area, with connections to Funchal, but schedules are limited. For quick and flexible transfers, we recommend using a taxi or private transfer.

Madeira International Airport (FNC), in Santa Cruz, is approximately 50 to 60 minutes by car.

Parking: You can park on the street, as local residents do, even where there are no marked spaces. It is important not to block garage entrances or obstruct the flow of traffic on the road.

This property has a self check-in system with a key box (padlock), and you will be asked to verify your identity before checking in. Check-in is available from 3 PM, subject to availability and confirmation.

Once the booking is confirmed, guests are required to fill in a registration form, in accordance with the legal obligations stipulated by local authorities in Portugal.

There is a zero-tolerance policy regarding smoking on the property. If our team finds evidence that this rule has been violated (e.g. smell of smoke, ash, cigarette butts), we reserve the right to charge a minimum fee of €200 for smoking.

Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair usage policy for utilities will apply with a limit of €80.

On the first days, we provide basic amenities: shower gel samples, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, washing-up products and a bin bag.

Extra keys: €20 (extra pair of keys when available, lost keys or door-opening service during the stay).
Extra cleaning with bed linen: the price of one cleaning fee.
Extra linen: €30 (Towels and sheets for 2 people, i.e. when the sofa bed is not included).
