Bale

"Lovely small hotel in the small walled city of Bale. Very good breakfast buffet & excellent attached 5 star restaurant. Excellent service. As a traveller, sometimes you need to make yourself an herbal tea or an early morning coffee. Also, please have 100% overhead coverage of the areas connecting the buildings. It rained during...

Maistra Select Belvedere Resort

8/10 Good

"No heating in the appartment at the end of October means 10degrees C at night outside… so it’s cold in the appartment as well."

Hotel Molindrio Plava Laguna

8/10 Good

"Great hotel and perfect location for our event Ironman 70.3 Poreč! Smaller room than expected (compared to photos) but soon got used to it and we used the balcony to store the bike. Comfortable bed, with adequate storage and spacious bathroom. Daily room service to replenish towels and hotel service for extra pillows and anything else you may need. We had breakfast and dinner included - both services had a wide variety of foods at the buffet that were all delicious. They even had an earlier breakfast service provided on race day which was greatly appreciated! The chefs were there to cook fresh food to keep everything replenished, and the staff were always there to help tidy away. Me and my husband enjoyed trying out the different foods each night, specially the deserts! One thing we made use of was the sauna and wellness area which you could use for 2 hours per day. We used the Sauna and steam room a lot, specially post race. Towels, water and tea were provided. My husband also used the Gym there on the first night which we were pleasantly surprised by, lots of free weights, machines and a squat rack. One highlight for me was being able to get my hair done by the hotel hair dresser, I wanted some french plaits done for the race and she managed to squeeze me in the day before. Very reasonably priced and friendly. Overall really happy with our stay, friendly staff and great experience. Such a lovely place to stay, we would come back!"

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Burici?

The best time to visit Burici is during the late spring (May to early June) or early autumn (September to early October) to enjoy pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

During these shoulder seasons, the weather is comfortably warm, superb for exploring the Istrian countryside, cycling, or enjoying the local cuisine al fresco. You'll find that popular attractions like the hilltop towns of Motovun and Grožnjan are less busy, making for a more relaxed experience. It's also an excellent time for food and wine enthusiasts, as many local producers are active with harvests and tastings.

Families travelling with younger children might prefer late spring when the temperatures are mild, and the sea is beginning to warm up for swimming, though it might still be a bit cool. The beaches are less crowded than in peak summer, offering a more relaxed environment for children to play.

For couples seeking a romantic getaway, early autumn is ideal. The vineyards are vibrant with the grape harvest, and the truffle hunting season begins, offering unique culinary experiences.
