"This inn was immaculate! So adorable! Good communication about keys and how to check out. Shared living room and kitchen if needed. Loved our room #4!"
Newly remodeled off grid river cabin with full services including WiFi
10/10 Excellent
"This is an amazing property and we feel so lucky to have spent time there. The cabin is charming and right on the Cascade River which was the BEST PART. Very quiet and soothing to stay here. It is "off grid", but we had no issues with water, eletricity or wi-fi. The outdoor deck by the river is perfect for morning coffee and afternoon lounging. It was easy to get in and out of the River Park where this is located. Overall, great experience - would 100% recommend."
Dwell Magazine Scandi Cabin with Outdoor Forest Tub, min to North Cascades Park
10/10 Excellent
"The cabin was delightful for our one night stay. Our family especially enjoyed sitting in the window seat area and looking out at nature. The steps to the upstairs loft were very steep/narrow as mentioned by others. The host was very communicative and we enjoyed our stay and proximity to North Cascades National Park."
"Completely stocked and ready for the whole family, including bowls and a dog bed for the four legged one! A great quiet location and an awesome property."
North Cascades Getaway – Off-Grid Riverside Cabin with Wood-Fired Hot Tub
10/10 Excellent
"We really enjoyed our stay at Somnia Vera! Really great location, directly on the Cascade River. Awesome wood-fired hot tub, and the cottage is a treat! Very close to some of the best hiking in Cascades, but plenty far away from civilization!"
"Let's start with the good:
The property is very close to North Cascades park. It was very quiet and far enough back from the road to not be disturbed by cars. The large meadow from the Theme Cabins was beautiful. Firepits with ample seating & the property supplied wood for evening fires. The scenery was magnificent with lush trees & great views of the mountains. Right across from the Skagit River which you can walk to for some nice river views. The staff were helpful but slightly overwhelmed.
Here is the other side of the coin:
The site states that the cabin is fully stocked but was very limited. We had to go ask for several items: dish soap, coffee, paper towels. The owners have made efforts to assuage the mice problem as evidenced by the traps all over the property. But, you are in nature and mice are an inevitable issue. Put your food in the fridge or plan on putting it up on top of the cupboards or mice proof containers. We had our bread & apples eaten though by mice in the night before we realized. We also had mice droppings in all the cookware so be prepared to clean thoroughly even if you think the dishes are clean. Also, buy food in one of the small towns (Darrington) before arriving as some of the restaurants will be closed & there is limited grocery available in town. What they do have is very expensive!!"

"What a beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting. The hosts seem to have thought of every detail. The property is breathtaking, with a short beautiful hike to the upper Skagit River."
Rainbow House: North Cascades Skagit River Retreat
10/10 Excellent
"Cute house and perfect for our family. It was a great location as a home base to go in and out of the North Cascades National Park. Clean and had all the essentials for our stay. Would definitely stay here again!"
