Honest hotel, good location, ugly room
The hotel lobby looks much better than the rooms. Room was big and attended to my needs, but it seemed to be a repurposed old hospital room and it was very ugly. In any case, the hotel is very well located, near av corrientes and all its restaurants and theaters. Breakfast was simple but decent. Overall, a cheap but honest option.

Don't stay by the road.
I have found that staying in Buenos Aires and a hotel says gym, that can mean 2 dumbbells and a bench. This was a very small hotel that has a friendly staff. The room I had was over the road so typically about the time I wanted to relax, all the dogs in the neighborhood and all the strays decide to talk to each other, for hours. Someone on the street has a vehicle with no muffler and loves to race up and down the street early in the morning just to see how loud he can make it. I am over 6'3" so the bed was important. It was comfortable and I did not hang off, but there was so much noise from the streets at crazy hours, I really did not get a single night of good rest. If you decide to stay DO NOT stay in room 10. The breakfast consisted of coffee, some bread, cheese, and meat. A bit of cereal and some juice were the only other options. The basement had like a movie room projector and the entrance had like a coffee bar. It was kept clean, and I feel that I would have enjoyed it much more if I had a different room. The internet in the room was terrible, and I spent most of the time downstairs or in the hallway trying to get a signal. This hotel is not locate on a major busy street, so you will have to walk around 8 blocks to get to where the Obelisk is located. I did not see any good restaurants near the hotel so I had to walk a few blocks. The television channels were pretty good, but no news channels and about 5 English speaking channels.
