Staff were kind, the location unbeatable (though it's hard to get to with a taxi). My room was nicely appointed. The room I was given was good in that I did not have to lug my things up stairs. But it was also very exposed on the main floor. The main problem was that by 9 AM there was drilling and hammering going on right outside my room, it seemed. This would have been ok (maintenance is always necessary) had I been told this. But I was not informed. It meant that I was not able to sleep in at all... and this was the start of my vacation. Communication is all that is necessary. The hotel has few amenities, but that's ok, as that's reflected in the good price, and the rooms are well equipped with a mini kitchen, nice bathroom, writing desk.
