My two nights at Giselle Buda Castle felt almost as if I had somehow forgotten to leave a museum and ended up spending the night using its furniture. It was such a unique and memorable experience - the historic atmosphere and interiors are definitely what make this hotel special. The location is equally unique, right in the heart of Buda Castle, with the 16 and 216 buses conveniently nearby, making it easy to get around. There were a few downsides: there is no TV in the room, and unfortunately no shampoo or hair conditioner. On the other hand, there was good coffee, a lovely little bottle of champagne, and a simple but decent breakfast. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. Overall, if you appreciate history, character, and unusual places, this is definitely a memorable place to stay. It feels much more like a unique experience than a standard hotel stay.

The staff at reception were very welcoming on one of the hottest ever days in Budapest, checked me in early and arranged a room quickly for me. The room within the very old stone building had a lovely vaulted roof, and was adequately air conditioned to keep it cool and comfortable to sleep. The staff were all friendly, polite and helpful.

Room was clean and very vintage like, simple but had what I needed. Just wish they had bottled water to drink or to use for tea/coffee facilities. Prime location - for all attractions on the Buda side, and easy access & paths to get to the (Pest) side for all other sights. Happy with the amenities and staff service. All good, only real feedback is - Maybe get Tv's in the room and some soft drinks in the room fridge for guests (for those who don't drink alcohol). Overall good stay for my first time in Budapest.

This hotel is located in Buda. Beautiful rooms, well decorated. Near restaurants and castle. Safe area. Easy transportation to Pest, bus running every 5 minutes or Uber.

We stayed at this hotel last weekend and it’s our understanding that it has only recently opened. Unfortunately, our experience wasn’t the best. When we arrived at our room, my girlfriend wanted to shower before our scheduled river boat trip. We realised there was no hairdryer in the room, so I asked a member of staff if one was available. He said he would go and get one for us. However, after waiting around 30 minutes with no update, I went to follow up and was then told there were none available. We weren’t informed of this sooner, which left us pushed for time before our boat trip as my girlfriend had no way to dry her hair. Shortly after, we also noticed there was no body wash or shampoo provided in the room. When I asked staff about this, I was again told there was none available. I then had to go out to a shop to purchase basic toiletries ourselves. Overall, the experience felt quite disorganised. While we appreciate that the hotel is newly opened and may still be finding its feet, it did not feel as though there was much effort made to resolve the issues or to ensure guests were looked after. We hope these are just teething problems and that improvements will be made for future guests.

Le personnel est très accueillant. Le lieu est propre et avec un petit cachet rustique. Il est parfaitement situé pour ceux qui veulent visiter le Bastion des pêcheurs, l’église St-Matthias ou le château de Buda. Tout cela se fait à pied, dans un joli quartier historique. Il est facile d’accès avec plusieurs autobus qui desservent le quartier. Le déjeuner était simple, mais apprécié. Je recommande si vous aimez un hébergement plus rustique qu’un « Hilton ».
